The rides that define Worlds of Fun
The park’s tallest coaster stands 205 feet, reaches 75 mph over a 180 second ride, opened in 1998 from D.H. Morgan Manufacturing and needs a 48 inch minimum height.
Built by Bolliger and Mabillard and opened in 2006, it lists 149 feet of elevation, a 60 mph top speed and a 138 second ride through four inversions, from a 54 inch minimum height.
Introduced in 2023 by Great Coasters International, it lists 74 feet of elevation, a 45 mph top speed and a 120 second ride from a 48 inch minimum height.
The park’s second wooden coaster opened in 2009, lists 102 feet of elevation, 51 mph and a 150 second ride, and was named 2009’s Best New Ride in the World by Amusement Today.
The park’s first wooden coaster arrived in 1989 from the Dinn Corporation, runs 133 seconds at up to 53 mph and requires a 48 inch minimum height.
Planning a day at Worlds of Fun
Worlds of Fun sits at 4545 Worlds of Fun Ave in Kansas City, Missouri, with a downloadable park map and driving directions on the operator site. Parking is sold as Daily General Parking or Daily Premium Parking, each valid for one regular sized vehicle for a single day in the 2026 season, and both can be bought online or at the gate. Enchanted Parks season passes include parking.
The park opened for the 2026 season on 25 April. Summer hours start at 11am, with the main park closing as late as 10pm and the Oceans of Fun waterpark closing earlier, so the calendar page is worth checking before travelling. Named events fill the shoulder season, including Oktoberfest starting 5 September, plus passholder nights such as Coasters After Dark and Flamingo Beach Club Nights.
Admission comes as a Daily Ticket Good Any Day or a Daily Ticket Select Your Day, both including Oceans of Fun Waterpark subject to the operating calendar. Season passes are the 2026 Enchanted Legend Pass and the 2026 Enchanted Hero Pass. The line skip product is Fast Lane, currently sold in park at Admissions. First timers miss that the park now operates under Enchanted Parks, with live information moved to a new operator site.
