How to read these hours
A few signals tell you everything important about each date at Six Flags White Water at a glance.
Six Flags White Water opens at 11:00 AM for everyone, with no early entry window
Six Flags White Water does not publish an early entry program. There is no morning window reserved for Gold or Prestige pass holders, no hotel on the property selling a head start, and no preview hour attached to a ticket tier. Everyone waits for the same 11:00 AM open, which is unusual enough at a Six Flags property to be worth stating plainly. On a busy July Saturday the advantage goes to whoever is standing at the turnstiles when they turn, not to whoever paid the most for admission.
The pass question matters more here. A Gold or Prestige pass bought at either Atlanta gate covers both, so one purchased for Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell also admits you to the Marietta water park, and the reverse holds. The 2027 Gold Pass was listed at $65 during the sale that ran to September 7, 2026, against a $99 regular price, with free general parking. Prestige was $189 against $250 and adds preferred parking plus Six Flags parks nationwide rather than the East Coast group alone. Memberships carry the same two tiers monthly, from $7 and $16.
Fast Lane at Six Flags White Water is a wristband sold inside the gate
Six Flags White Water does sell Fast Lane, which surprises visitors who assume a water park runs on first come stairs alone. The daily version is listed from $39 per person plus a processing fee of up to $9.99 and tax, and the park marks it as available in park only, so it cannot be added to an online ticket order in advance. The All Season Fast Lane is the exception, sold online at $499 during the late summer 2026 sale against a regular price of $899.
What it covers is less clear than at the theme parks. The park describes it as bypassing the regular lines on select rides and attractions without naming which slides qualify, so confirm the list at the window before paying. The All Season description refers to a wristband on every 2026 visit, which points to a wristband rather than the app based reservations Six Flags Over Georgia moved to in 2026. Prestige pass holders have a separate Single-Use Fast Lane, good once per visit.
Value depends on the date, and with a seven or eight hour operating day the margin is thinner than at a theme park. On a quiet June weekday, when the stair towers keep moving, $39 a head buys very little. On a July Saturday or over Labor Day weekend, when those same towers are at their longest, the case is considerably stronger.
Cabanas, loungers, and the shade you can reserve
The other paid upgrade is shade, and that price list is published in full. A Standard Cabana was $149 for up to six guests, an Elevated Standard $199 for up to eight with a ceiling fan, a Deluxe $249 for seven with a Primo's Pizzeria meal deal, and a Premium $349 for ten adding a television and eight tube rentals. All four include a storage locker. A Beach Lounger for two was $25 and a shaded Clam Shell $35. Standalone locker prices are not published online.
A fifteen week season: how the Marietta water park builds its calendar
Six Flags White Water runs one of the shortest seasons of any major park in the region. The 2026 calendar opened on Tuesday, May 26 and finished on Labor Day, Monday, September 7: about fifteen weeks end to end, and roughly seventy seven operating days once the closed weekdays in August are removed. Nothing is posted in April or the first three and a half weeks of May, and nothing after the first week of September. For eight months the gates do not open at all.
Inside that window the structure is simple. Late May through late July is daily operation, broken only by June 22 and 23. From August 1 the park drops to Saturdays and Sundays, and the season ends with Labor Day weekend. Two dates break the pattern without explanation: Saturday, August 29 is closed while Sunday, August 30 is open, and the last five days of July close an hour early. Today's hours appear in the card near the top of this page, and the day by day list below shows every posted date.
The framework goes up well ahead of opening, and because every date carries the same 11:00 AM start there is little left to revise later. What the calendar does not do is look forward. As of early September 2026, no operating dates beyond September 7 had been posted and no 2027 season dates had been announced. The published season has run from May into September in recent years, so assume a late spring opening until the park confirms one.
What to ride first at Six Flags White Water: stair towers before pools
A seven or eight hour water park day rewards a different opening plan than a twelve hour theme park day. The attractions that build the longest lines here move the fewest people per minute, and at Six Flags White Water those are the tall single tower slides rather than the pools. Dive Bomber, the ten story speed slide in Flash Flood Canyon that the park ran for years as Cliff-Hanger, sends one rider at a time down from a long stair climb. Tornado, the funnel slide added in 2004, dispatches a single raft.
The pools work the other way. The Atlanta Ocean wave pool holds 700,000 gallons and absorbs a crowd without a queue, and the quarter mile Little Hooch lazy river does the same. Neither is meaningfully worse at 3:00 PM than at 11:15 AM, which makes both the right afternoon choice and the wrong first stop. The common mistake is drifting toward whatever water sits nearest the entrance, then finding every stair tower backed up for the rest of the day.
A first hour order that works
Take the tall slides while the stairs are still empty, then the mat racer and the family rafts, and leave the wave pool and lazy river for the hottest part of the afternoon. On most dates this clears the slowest loading attractions before the deck fills. Buccaneer Bay, the children's pirate area, stays manageable all day and needs no early slot, and the same is true of the wave pool.

Driving to 250 Cobb Parkway: parking, Interstate 75, and the CobbLinc 10
The park sits at 250 Cobb Parkway North in Marietta, on the stretch of US 41 that runs parallel to Interstate 75 through Cobb County northwest of the city. From central Atlanta it is roughly eighteen miles and about twenty two minutes without traffic, though the northbound afternoon rush can comfortably double that. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is about twenty seven miles and thirty four minutes away. Six Flags Over Georgia, the sibling theme park in Austell, is roughly fifteen miles off and is a separate gate with its own calendar.
Daily general parking was listed from $30 per vehicle and preferred parking from $40, both plus a processing fee of up to $9.99 and tax, and both cheaper bought online than at the plaza. Free general parking comes with the Gold Pass and preferred parking with Prestige. Arriving without a car is possible but slow: there is no direct connection and no park shuttle is published. The usual routing is MARTA rail to Arts Center Station, then CobbLinc route 10 up Cobb Parkway, about an hour and a quarter from Arts Center.
Six Flags White Water hours month by month, and the eight months it is closed
The season starts abruptly. Nothing is posted for April or the first three and a half weeks of May, and then the park runs daily from Tuesday, May 26, at 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM through the end of the month. June holds that window on every day but two, June 22 and 23. There is no weekends first warm up and no shortened spring schedule: the calendar goes from nothing to daily operation in one step, which catches out visitors used to the March opening in Austell.
July is the fullest month, open every day, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM through July 26 and then 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM for the final five days. August brings the sharpest change. Weekday operation stops entirely and only Saturdays and Sundays are posted, Saturdays 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sundays 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturday, August 29 is the exception, closed while August 30 runs the longer day. No reason is published for either change.
September is three days long. The park is closed September 1 through 4, opens September 5 and 6 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and finishes on Labor Day, Monday, September 7 with the same hours. Nothing is posted after that. From mid September until the following spring the water park is closed, and Atlanta's Halloween and winter events run at Six Flags Over Georgia instead. A Gold or Prestige pass covers both, which is how local pass holders bridge the off season.
Frequently asked questions
What time does Six Flags White Water open?
Six Flags White Water opened at 11:00 AM on every posted date of the 2026 season, from May 26 through Labor Day, September 7. There is no earlier weekend opening, no later weekday opening, and no early entry window for pass holders. Parking opens ahead of that, so arrive by about 10:30 AM.
What time does Six Flags White Water close?
Most 2026 dates closed at 7:00 PM. The exceptions are July 27 through 31 and the Sundays in August, which closed at 6:00 PM. Nothing ran past 7:00 PM, so the park never operates after dark and stages no evening show. With the 11:00 AM open, that is a seven or eight hour day.
What are Six Flags White Water's hours today?
Today's posted open and close appear in the card near the top of this page, in Eastern Time. During the season, expect 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on a Sunday in August. If no hours are shown, the park is closed, which is the case most of the year.
What are Six Flags White Water's hours tomorrow?
Tomorrow's hours sit in the day by day list below, which shows every posted date. Because Six Flags White Water uses one opening time all season, tomorrow is rarely a surprise in summer. The real question is whether the park is open at all, since August runs weekends only and the season stops after Labor Day.
Which months is Six Flags White Water open?
The 2026 season ran from May 26 to September 7 only. Late May, June and July were daily apart from June 22 and 23. August was Saturdays and Sundays, and September carried three dates over Labor Day weekend. The park is closed from mid September through late May, roughly eight months of the year.
Does Six Flags White Water have early entry, and does a Six Flags Over Georgia pass work here?
There is no early entry program at Six Flags White Water. Pass holders and day ticket buyers all enter at 11:00 AM together. The pass does travel between the two Atlanta gates: Gold and Prestige passes and memberships cover both the Marietta water park and Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell.
What should you ride first at Six Flags White Water?
Start with the tall stair tower slides, because they load the fewest people per minute and their queues grow fastest. Dive Bomber, the ten story speed slide the park ran for years as Cliff-Hanger, is the sensible first stop, followed by Tornado, Typhoon Twister and Python Plunge. Leave the wave pool and lazy river until the afternoon.
Is Fast Lane worth buying at Six Flags White Water?
Fast Lane is sold here, listed from $39 per person plus fees and tax and marked as available in park only, with an All Season wristband at $499 in the late summer 2026 sale. The park does not publish which slides are included, so ask at the window. On a quiet June weekday it is hard to justify.
Does Six Flags White Water have fireworks or evening events?
No. The latest posted close in 2026 was 7:00 PM, so the park does not operate after dark and stages no nighttime show, fireworks or parade. There is also no Halloween or winter event here. Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park run at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell instead.
How early should you arrive at Six Flags White Water?
Aim to be in the parking lot by about 10:30 AM for the 11:00 AM open. With no early entry program, the first hour belongs to whoever gets through the gate first, and the stair towers at Dive Bomber and Tornado are at their shortest then. Allow extra time on a July Saturday.
How much is parking at Six Flags White Water, and how do you get there from Atlanta?
General parking was listed from $30 per vehicle and preferred from $40, plus a processing fee of up to $9.99 and tax, cheaper online than at the plaza, with free general parking on the Gold Pass. The park is at 250 Cobb Parkway North in Marietta, about eighteen miles from central Atlanta.
Do Six Flags White Water hours change in peak summer, and why do some dates close at 6:00 PM?
The opening time never changes: 11:00 AM on every posted date. What changes is the close and how many days a week the park runs. Peak summer means daily operation with a 7:00 PM close. The 6:00 PM closes fall on July 27 through 31 and on the Sundays in August. No reason is published.
