What is new on the 2026 map
Six Flags Great America rings a central lake in Gurnee, halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee, with the Hurricane Harbor water park next door.
Wrath of Rakshasa anchors County Fair. The record dive coaster is the park's newest major thrill, joining Goliath and the classic Demon in the northern County Fair section.
DC Universe stacks the superhero coasters. Batman The Ride, The Joker, and Superman Ultimate Flight cluster in the DC Universe area toward the front of the park.
Southwest Territory holds the big steel. Viper and the launched Maxx Force sit at the far end in Southwest Territory and Hometown Square, past the central lake.

Six Flags Great America parking and directions
The park sits off Interstate 94 in Gurnee, Illinois, about 45 miles north of downtown Chicago and 40 miles south of Milwaukee. The main lot feeds the Carousel Plaza entrance.

Wrath of Rakshasa first
Head to County Fair for the new dive coaster before the line stacks up, since new rides draw the longest early waits.
Goliath and Maxx Force next
Ride Goliath on the west side and Maxx Force in Southwest Territory early, then work the back of the park while the front fills.
Save DC Universe for later
Batman, The Joker, and Superman near the entrance stay busy midday but ease up late, so ride them on the way out.
