Planning SeaWorld San Diego, the short version
Six headline rides carry posted height rules: Octarock at 36 inches, Journey to Atlantis and Shipwreck Rapids at 42, Electric Eel and Manta at 48, and Emperor at 52. Most of the park, the animal exhibits, shows, and aquariums, has no height rule at all, which makes it one of the easiest San Diego days with small kids.

For younger kids
Planet Snoopy leads the day
The kids area carries a deep set of rides in the 36 inch band, many with a taller companion option, and several with maximum height caps that only apply to adults. The height checker sorts all of it by your child’s exact height.
For coaster days
The 48 to 54 inch ladder
The Beast, Mystic Timbers, and The Racer open at 48 inches, Banshee and Delirium at 52, and Diamondback, Orion, Flight of Fear, and Invertigo wait at 54. The checker shows exactly which step your rider is on.
Soak City included
Two parks in one gate
Soak City water park is included with admission and has its own height rules, from 36 inch kid slides to 48 inch thrill slides. Those rules are inside the same height checker.
