Palace Playland layout at a glance

The 2026 map uses the Atlantic Ocean and beach as one long edge. The Arcade, Carousel and Electra Wheel occupy one end; Euro Slide and Gold Rush sit along the middle beach edge; Sea Viper and Wipeout mark the far ride end.

Use the street-side paths to move between clusters without cutting through queues. The park has no admission gate, so choose a named ride, ticket booth or the arcade frontage as the group meeting point.

  1. Open the 2026 mapMark the Arcade, Euro Slide and Sea Viper before choosing a first ride.
  2. Separate beach and street edgesUse the ocean side and street-side path as the basic frame for the compact layout.
  3. Choose a return pointSelect the Arcade frontage, a ticket booth or a named ride instead of relying on a gate.

These are planning stops, not a scale map. Use the operator map and signs for exact paths, entrances and accessible routes.

The compact map is easiest to read as three visible clusters. Match a photographed landmark first, then use the current signs for the final queue or service entrance.

Sea Viper and the outer ride cluster

Sea Viper’s red track and blue train rise above the far ride end of the official map. The coaster sits beyond the Gold Rush and kiddie-ride cluster, near Wipeout.

The current ride page lists Sea Viper separately from Wipeout and gives its rider requirements. Check the posted entrance rules and current operation before joining the queue.

Landmarks: Red coaster track, blue train, Sea Viper sign and nearby Wipeout track.

Route tip: Use the tall red track to confirm the far ride end, then follow signs to the actual entrance.

The stone welcome wall and brick pedestrian path mark the public Old Orchard Beach approach beside Palace Playland. Use this street-side reference to regroup before moving into the beachfront amusement area.

The park has no admission gate. From the approach, pick the Arcade frontage, a ticket booth or a named ride as the next checkpoint and meeting place.

Landmarks: Stone welcome wall, planted border and brick pedestrian path.

Route tip: Confirm the public approach, then switch to a named feature on the operator map before entering the ride paths.

The current ride page lists Euro Slide as a kiddie ride with a 42-inch minimum and no exceptions. Confirm the posted rule before walking to the slide entrance.

Landmarks: Euro Slide tower and rear staircase, sand and the nearby ride skyline.

Route tip: Use the slide tower to find the central beach edge, then move inland to the labeled ticket and restroom cluster.

Recommended park gear

Park day gear worth packing

A compact set of comfort picks for long lines, heat, rain, refills, and high step counts.

Choose a route that fits your visit

Choose the first cluster before buying ride products. These routes reduce backtracking; they do not predict waits or guarantee ride operation.

Your priority A useful starting plan Check before moving on
Arcade and family start Begin around the Arcade, Carousel and Electra Wheel, then move toward Euro Slide. Current ride availability, rider heights and whether the group wants arcade time first.
Thrill ride priority Use Euro Slide as the middle checkpoint and continue toward Gold Rush, Sea Viper and Wipeout. Posted requirements, loose-article rules and weather closures.
Beach and rides split Set a named meeting point before part of the group uses the beach or Pier. No admission gate, phone battery and the changing closing time.
Short visit Choose either the Arcade and wheel end or the Sea Viper end rather than crossing the full midway twice. Parking time, ride product and current operating hours.
  1. Open the operator’s 2026 map before leaving the parking area.
  2. Mark the Arcade, Euro Slide, Sea Viper, restrooms and First Aid.
  3. Choose a first cluster and a named return point.
  4. Confirm current operation and rider rules before buying passes or credits.
  5. Recheck the hours page because closing time depends on weather and attendance.

Arrival, services and accessible routes

Arrival

The operator lists 1 Old Orchard Street on the oceanfront. Its directions page gives the Interstate 95 approach and links to navigation.

Parking

The operator identifies nearby municipal lots, commercial pay lots and metered street parking. Parking is outside the ride layout, so save the lot location separately.

Admission and rides

The FAQ says there is no admission fee or gate. Riders need credits or a wristband, including adults accompanying children.

Food and payment

Outside food and drinks are allowed except glass and alcohol. Ride passes and arcade cards accept cash or credit, while some food vendors may be cash only.

Arcade

The operator describes a cashless game-card system for most arcade games, with a small quarter-operated section.

Hours and weather

The park is seasonal and has no set closing time. Weather and attendance can shorten operations, so use the date-specific 2026 calendar.

How to use the map on the day

Open the 2026 map and frame the park with the beach edge, street-side path and the two ride ends. Mark the service icons before selecting rides.

Inside the park, match one photographed landmark to the map. Follow current signs for the final queue entrance because paths run closely around rides and games.
