2026 park updates

The current Lightwater Valley sheet reflects new ownership and the park’s first new coaster in years.

2026 map changes

New ownership, new era. The Mellors Group took over Lightwater Valley and operates the park for the 2026 season, with new rides and attractions already underway.

Spinning Racer headlines the year. A Maurer Rides spinning coaster with cars that rotate freely through the layout, Spinning Racer is the park’s newest coaster addition and anchors its own zone on the map.

A family adventure park today. Former thrill coasters including The Ultimate have been removed; the current lineup centers on the Ladybird coaster, Skeleton Cove, Eagles Creek Farm, and the new Spinning Racer zone.

Lightwater Valley zone navigator

Lightwater Valley splits into four zones around its lake and Pavilion. Skeleton Cove and the new Spinning Racer zone carry the park’s two coasters, the lake and Pavilion hold the wheel and the train, and Go Safari rounds out the youngest end of the park. Each card shows that part of the official map.

Lightwater Valley zones on the sheet

The official map indexes the park by zone: Skeleton Cove, the Lake and Pavilion, the new Spinning Racer zone, and Go Safari, reflecting the park’s current family adventure lineup rather than its earlier thrill coaster era.

At opening, where to start

Where to head first depends on the ride you want. The zones sit on opposite sides of the lake, so pick a direction before you walk in.

Start at Spinning Racer

The new coaster zone draws the day's biggest queue, so ride Spinning Racer early if that is your priority.

Loop Skeleton Cove next

The Ladybird coaster and the pirate ship stay quieter through the mid morning than the newest ride on the map.

Finish at Go Safari

The animal themed rides and outdoor play make an easy close to the day for younger visitors.

How to use this map

Orient by the lake and Pavilion at the center of the map. Skeleton Cove sits to one side with the Ladybird coaster, the new Spinning Racer zone and Eagles Creek Farm sit to the other, and Go Safari fills the youngest corner of the park. The layout reads as a loop around the water, so plan a route that does not double back.
