October 2026
Schedule data through October 31, 2026. Source data pull dates range from September 7, 2026 through October 4, 2026. Dates missing from our data are marked unavailable. This does not establish whether the park has published them.
Collection dates describe the rows available to this page. They are not a current operator check for every visit date. An unavailable date does not establish a closure or whether the park has published a schedule.

How to read these hours
A few signals tell you everything important about each date at Heide Park Resort at a glance.
The resort gate at Soltau, and the early hour Heide Park does not publish
Heide Park Resort sells two on site stays, the Abenteuerhotel and the Holiday Camp, and both describe a private way into the theme park. The hotel lists an exclusive access of its own, the camp a gate that reaches the turnstiles without leaving the resort. Neither describes a timed head start. As of early September 2026 the resort published no early entry window, no minutes figure and no list of attractions running before the public opening. A stay removes the morning drive; it does not put anyone on Krake before 10:00 AM.
That is worth stating plainly, because several German parks of similar size do sell a hotel head start and visitors arrive in Soltau expecting one. Treat a resort stay as a convenience purchase rather than a queue strategy. If an early window is ever added on a given date, it will surface in the Heide Park app and on the booking confirmation rather than in a season announcement.
What an on site stay changes about the morning
The gain is position, not ride time. Day visitors arrive through a car park holding around 8,000 vehicles, then walk the length of the entrance plaza. Overnight guests start inside the resort and can wait at the gate without an early alarm. On a Saturday in July, when the car park fills through the hour either side of the opening, that is worth 20 to 30 minutes. Parking stays a paid extra, sold as one ticket covering the whole stay.
Express Ticket Bronze, Silber, Gold and Platin: what each tier buys
Heide Park's paid line skip is the Express Ticket, sold in four tiers rather than as a single wristband. Bronze starts at 25 euros and covers three attractions: Wildwasserbahn, Big Loop and Bobbahn. Silber starts at 39 euros and brings in Krake, Flug der Daemonen and Desert Race alongside the Bronze set. Gold starts at 59 euros and adds Scream and Colossos. Platin starts at 99 euros and is the only tier with unlimited repeat use. Park admission is not included in any of them.
The lower three tiers are a fixed allowance rather than an all day pass. Each ticket is valid for one person on the date booked and expires that evening, with no option to move it. Platin buyers collect a dated wristband at the Service Center before their first use, and it is not transferable. Every quoted price is a starting figure, so a summer Saturday costs more than a Tuesday in late September.
Which tier fits which kind of day
On a 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekday in April or September, none of the tiers pay for themselves; the walk up queues at Krake and Flug der Daemonen turn over quickly enough. They earn their price on summer weekends and on the five Halloween dates that open at 12:00 PM, when a full day's crowd arrives inside one hour. Silber is then the smallest tier that reaches the headline coasters.
Late Rides, the Halloween Saturdays, and a 9:00 PM ride close
Heide Park runs no nightly fireworks show. Evening programming is concentrated into a short list of dates, and those are the only ones on the 2026 calendar where the coasters operate after dark. Late Rides took three Saturdays, September 19 and 26 and October 3, and shifted the whole day back: the park opened at 12:00 PM and ran rides until 9:00 PM, with food trucks and laser effects filling the evening. An evening ticket started at 24 euros and was valid from 5:00 PM.
Halloween runs October 10 through 31 on two clocks. Most dates keep the ordinary schedule, 5:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 PM on Sundays, with decorations, a trick or treat trail and shows included in admission. Five dates get the long evening instead: October 10, 17, 24, 30 and 31 all run 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The scare zone and three horror mazes start around 4:00 PM, the mazes need a separate ticket, and fireworks over the large lake are included when weather allows.
One August date looks like an evening event and is not part of park hours. The Pyro Games on August 22, 2026, a competition between pyrotechnic teams, is staged on the resort's event area with admission from 6:00 PM and sold as its own ticket, not covered by a day ticket or an annual pass. The theme park kept its normal 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM day.
A late March to Halloween season, and the Mondays that disappear
Heide Park is a seasonal park with a long winter closure. The 2026 calendar opened with a preview day the resort calls Anticipation Sunday on March 22, then began regular operation the following weekend on March 28. The resort describes its season as March to November, but what was posted on the public calendar in early September 2026 ran only to October 31, the final night of Halloween. Between then and the following spring the park does not open at all.
Inside the season the variable is Monday. In the shoulder weeks the park drops one weekday, and that day is Monday: the 2026 calendar closed on April 13, 20 and 27, on May 4, 11 and 18, on June 8 and 15, and then on August 31 and every Monday in September. German public holidays override that, which is why Easter Monday and Whit Monday were both open with a 6:00 PM close.
The resort publishes the full season on one calendar and lists the closed dates beside it, so a Monday closure is visible months ahead. Today's hours appear in the card near the top of this page, and the day by day list below shows every posted date. Dates for the following season are typically posted over the winter, ahead of the spring opening.
The posted time is when the rides stop, not when the gates lock
One line on the official hours page changes how every number should be read. The times refer to ride operation, and the park itself closes an hour later. A date posted as 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM means the queues shut at 5:00 PM while the paths stay open until 6:00 PM. On the 9:00 PM dates the real close is 10:00 PM, and anyone already queuing still gets their ride.
The park's own morning advice: walk past the first coaster you reach
Heide Park publishes a tip most parks leave to enthusiasts. After opening, do not go to the nearest attraction, but head for the back of the park first, where waiting times are usually shorter. It works because the layout funnels arriving guests into whichever section they meet first, and the crowd thins with distance from the entrance. On a 10:00 AM open, that is worth roughly two extra rides before noon.
The two rides that justify the walk are Krake and Colossos. Krake, the Bolliger and Mabillard dive coaster in Bucht der Piraten, stands 41 meters tall, drops at 87 degrees and reaches 103 kilometers per hour. Colossos, the Intamin wooden coaster in Land der Vergessenen, is 50 meters tall and hits 110 kilometers per hour; its line builds later but moves slowly. Flug der Daemonen, the wing coaster with five inversions in Transsilvanien, is the third pillar.
A first hour that works
On a normal 10:00 AM start, a workable order is Krake, then Colossos, then Flug der Daemonen, with Bobbahn and Big Loop absorbing the middle of the day. Bobbahn is the Mack bobsled coaster that carried the name Schweizer Bobbahn until 2014. Toxic Garden, the inverted coaster that ran as Limit until its 2023 retheme, is another mid morning ride rather than a first one.
Colossos, wooden coaster, Land der Vergessenen
Flug der Daemonen, wing coaster, Transsilvanien
Bobbahn, bobsled coaster, Transsilvanien
Scream, drop tower
Big Loop, looping coaster
The mistakes that cost the morning
The first is arriving at 10:00 AM rather than before it, which on a July Saturday means joining the car park queue instead of a ride queue. The second is treating a 12:00 PM Halloween or Late Rides start as relaxed, when those dates compress a full crowd into nine hours. Desert Race was also listed as not operating in early September 2026, so confirm it in the app.
Reaching Heide Park 1 in Soltau from Hamburg, Hannover and Bremen
The resort address is Heide Park 1, 29614 Soltau, in the Lueneburg Heath between Hamburg, Hannover and Bremen. By car the route is the A7: leave at the Soltau-Ost exit, from which the resort is signposted. Hamburg is roughly 72 kilometers away, about 50 minutes with a clear motorway. Hannover is about 84 kilometers and close to an hour. Bremen is a similar 83 kilometers but slower, near 1 hour 15 minutes, because the last stretch leaves the motorway.
Parking is dated and booked online. A car, van or motorcycle costs 14 euros per day, and a motorhome, camper van or car with a caravan costs 20 euros. Guests of the Abenteuerhotel or Holiday Camp buy one ticket covering the whole stay. Buying at the barrier is only possible in exceptional cases, never at the online price, and card only. The car park holds around 8,000 cars.
By train, and the Heide Park Express coach
The two stations to aim for are Soltau (Han) and Wolterdingen (Han). Wolterdingen is closer, about a 20 minute walk from the resort, and the park recommends it for arrivals from Hamburg. Regional trains reach it from Hannover Hauptbahnhof in roughly 1 hour 45 minutes, and from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof in a similar time with a change at Buchholz in der Nordheide. Bremen Hauptbahnhof runs hourly to Soltau (Han) in close to 1 hour 50 minutes. A coach, the Heide Park Express, runs non stop from both cities.
Heide Park hours month by month across the 2026 season
March and April are the short days. From the March 28 opening through most of April the calendar posted 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the Easter stretch from April 3 to April 6 extended to 6:00 PM, and Mondays began dropping off from April 13. May keeps the same shape with more exceptions: weekends run to 6:00 PM, and the public holiday clusters around May 1, Ascension Day on May 14 and Whitsun from May 23 to May 26 all carried the longer close.
June is the transition. Its first three weeks kept the shoulder pattern, with Mondays closed on June 8 and 15. From June 22 the park went daily and stayed that way to the end of August. July is the flat month: apart from July 1, every date posted 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, which with the extra hour puts the park close at 7:00 PM. August held that through August 16, then returned weekdays to 5:00 PM.
September is the quietest stretch and the one where the calendar thins. Mondays closed on September 7, 14, 21 and 28, weekdays ran to 5:00 PM and weekends to 6:00 PM, apart from the Late Rides Saturdays on September 19 and 26. October runs daily again: 5:00 PM on weekdays, 6:00 PM on Sundays, and 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the five long Halloween dates, finishing on October 31. After that the park is closed until spring, with no winter opening and no Christmas event.
Frequently asked questions
What time does Heide Park open?
Heide Park opens at 10:00 AM on almost every date of the 2026 season, from the March 28 start through October 31. The exceptions are the three Late Rides Saturdays and the five long Halloween dates, which open at 12:00 PM instead. No early entry hour is published for Abenteuerhotel or Holiday Camp guests, so the posted opening is the gate time for everyone.
What time does Heide Park close?
Most weekdays post a 5:00 PM close and most weekends a 6:00 PM close, with 6:00 PM daily from late June through August 16. Late Rides Saturdays and the five long Halloween dates run to 9:00 PM. Those posted times are when the rides stop: the park itself closes an hour later, and anyone already in a queue still rides.
What are Heide Park's hours today?
Today's posted open and close for Heide Park appear in the card near the top of this page, in Central European Time. On a September or October weekday expect 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on a weekend 6:00 PM, and on one of the five Halloween evening dates 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If the card shows nothing, the date is a closed Monday or outside the season.
What are Heide Park's hours tomorrow?
Check the 14 day table beneath the today card for tomorrow, and note that the day by day list below shows every posted date. Heide Park publishes its full season ahead of time, including the closed Mondays, so tomorrow's hours are rarely a surprise. Individual rides can still be down for weather or maintenance, which shows up on the resort's ride availability page.
Which months is Heide Park open, and when does the season end?
The 2026 season began with a preview day on March 22 and regular operation from March 28, then ran through October 31, the last night of Halloween. The resort describes the season as March to November, but no November dates appeared on the published calendar in early September 2026. Until the following spring the park is closed completely, with no winter event.
Do Abenteuerhotel and Holiday Camp guests get into Heide Park early?
Not on the published terms. Both the Abenteuerhotel and the Holiday Camp advertise their own access route into the theme park, which is a private gate rather than a timed head start. The resort lists no early entry window, no minutes figure and no attractions running before the public opening. An on site stay buys position and a shorter walk, not extra ride time.
What should you ride first at Heide Park?
The park's own advice is to walk past the nearest attraction and head for the back of the park, where morning waits are shorter. In practice that means Krake, the dive coaster in Bucht der Piraten, then Colossos, the wooden coaster in Land der Vergessenen. Flug der Daemonen in Transsilvanien is the natural third, and Bobbahn and Big Loop suit the middle of the day.
Is the Heide Park Express Ticket worth buying?
It depends on the tier and the date. Bronze from 25 euros covers only Wildwasserbahn, Big Loop and Bobbahn, so it misses the longest queues. Silber from 39 euros adds Krake, Flug der Daemonen and Desert Race, Gold from 59 euros adds Scream and Colossos, and Platin from 99 euros is unlimited. On a quiet weekday none pay off; on a summer weekend or Halloween evening, Silber and up can.
Does Heide Park have fireworks or evening events?
Not nightly. Fireworks over the large lake are included with admission on the five long Halloween dates, October 10, 17, 24, 30 and 31, when weather allows. The three Late Rides Saturdays in September and early October run the coasters until 9:00 PM with food trucks and laser effects. The Pyro Games competition on August 22 is a separate ticketed event on the resort's event area.
How early should you arrive at Heide Park?
Aim to be in the car park 30 to 45 minutes before the posted opening, which on a normal date means about 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM. That covers the run in from the A7, the walk from a car park holding around 8,000 vehicles, and the entrance queue. On a 12:00 PM Halloween or Late Rides date the whole crowd arrives at once, so the margin matters more.
What does parking cost at Heide Park, and how do you get there from Hamburg?
Parking booked online is 14 euros per day for a car, van or motorcycle and 20 euros for a motorhome or caravan. Buying at the barrier is only possible in exceptional cases, never at the online price. Heide Park is about 72 kilometers from Hamburg, roughly 50 minutes on the A7 to the Soltau-Ost exit. By train, ride to Wolterdingen (Han) and walk 20 minutes.
Do Heide Park hours change in the summer holiday peak?
Yes, though the change is mostly about which days run rather than how late. From late June through August 16 the park operated daily and posted a 6:00 PM ride close every day, instead of the 5:00 PM weekday close used in spring and autumn. German public holidays get the same longer day. Outside those stretches, Mondays drop off the calendar.
Why does Heide Park close at 5:00 PM on some dates?
A 5:00 PM close is the standard shoulder season weekday, used across April, May, most of June, the back half of August, September and October. It reflects expected attendance rather than anything unusual, and the park still stays open an hour beyond it. The dates worth noticing for the opposite reason are the 12:00 PM opens, which signal a 9:00 PM evening.
