Disneyland Resort Height Requirements 2026

Measuring your child

At home, measure without shoes for a conservative number. At the park, Cast Members measure at the ride and make the final call.

Rider Switch in three steps

1. 1With the whole group at the attraction entrance, tell a Cast Member you want to use Rider Switch.
2. 2The group splits in two: Party A rides first while Party B waits outside the queue; a Cast Member scans Party B’s tickets and says where to return.
3. 3After Party A rides, up to two people from Party B go to the return entrance, are rescanned and board without waiting.

Driving, swings and trail activities

Autopia needs 32 in (81 cm) with someone 54 in or taller, or 54 in (137 cm) to drive alone. Silly Symphony Swings needs 40 in (102 cm); below 48 in (122 cm), use a tandem swing with a responsible person. Redwood Creek has no overall minimum, but its rock climb needs 42 in (106 cm), log slides 32 in (81 cm), and training tower 42 to 63 in (106 to 160 cm) and age 12 or younger. These trail activities are described separately and are not counted among the checker’s rides.

Build a day around the classic rides

Disneyland Park has dark rides, boats, trains and play areas with no minimum. Autopia and Chip ’n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster add lower height thresholds; Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run follows at 38 inches.

California Adventure adds bigger thrills

At 40 inches, attractions such as Radiator Springs Racers, Soarin’ and Guardians of the Galaxy become height eligible. Goofy’s Sky School and Grizzly River Run require 42 inches, and Incredicoaster requires 48. Height eligibility is not a measure of how intense a ride will feel.
