2026 park updates
The current Calaway Park sheet reflects the ride lineup and campground layout for the 2026 season, Western Canada’s largest outdoor amusement park.
The Vortex still anchors the midway. The corkscrew coaster, previously known as Corkscrew and before that Turn of the Century, remains the tallest structure on site and the clearest landmark on the current sheet.
Timber Falls keeps its own corner. The log flume runs along the west side of the midway on the current map, a short walk from the Chaos ride and Ocean Motion.
The campground sits west of the rides. The Calaway RV Park and Campground has its own access road off Township Road 245 and shows on the official sheet next to the ride area.
Calaway Park area navigator
Calaway Park runs as a single midway loop off the front gate, so the fastest way to plan a day is by ride cluster rather than themed land. Four clusters organize the sheet: the Vortex and Ocean Motion at the east end, Timber Falls on the west side, the Carousel and Cinemagic corner near the center, and the games, mini golf, and Haunted Hotel toward the campground. Each card shows that part of the official map.

The park’s biggest thrill corner. The Vortex corkscrew coaster loops overhead while Ocean Motion swings riders through a pirate-ship arc alongside, the two anchor rides on this end of the midway.

The park’s log flume. Timber Falls carries riders through a slow build before a splashdown drop, a reliable way to cool off on a hot Alberta afternoon.

The classic midway cluster. The Carousel, the Cinemagic 3D theatre, and Bi-Planes sit together, an easy base for riders who want a slower pace between the bigger rides.

The games and activities corner. Bumper Boats and a mini golf course sit near the walk-through Haunted Hotel, a good stop for groups splitting up for an hour.
See on park mapThe official map groups rides by category rather than named lands: thrill rides at the east end, the log flume and water play on the west side, the classic family midway at the center, and the games and activities corner toward the RV Park and Campground, which adjoins the ride area to the south.
Calaway Park parking and directions
The park sits off the Trans-Canada Highway in Springbank, Alberta, about 4 km west of the Calgary city limits. The main lot feeds the front gate at the east side of the map.

At opening, where to start
Where to head first depends on the ride you want. The biggest rides sit at opposite ends of the midway, so pick a direction before you walk in.
East for the Vortex
Head to the east side of the midway for the Vortex and Chaos, the two rides that build the longest lines by late morning.
West for Timber Falls
Timber Falls sits on the west side and stays shorter early, before the afternoon heat sends everyone to the log flume.
Midway for young kids
The Carousel and Bi-Planes near the center are the easiest morning base for families, with short waits early in the day.
How to use this map
Orient by the Vortex. It is the tallest structure on site, rising over the east end of the midway near the front gate, with Chaos and Ocean Motion close by. Timber Falls runs along the west side, the Carousel and Cinemagic theatre sit near the center, and the games, mini golf, and Haunted Hotel cluster to the south near the campground. The park reads as a single loop off the main midway, so plan a route that does not double back.
