The rides that define Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Opened in 1994, it climbs to 235 feet and runs 5,497 feet of track, with a first drop angled at 65 degrees and a 132 cm minimum height.
The UK’s first double launch coaster, opened on 25 May 2018, reaching 88 feet and 52 mph over 3,750 feet of track.
Opened in 1935, two trains race a Mobius loop layout at 62 feet and 45 mph over 3,302 feet per track.
Opened in 2000 as a four minute indoor water ride with twelve eight seat boats, and named Best Water Ride in the World at the Golden Ticket Awards.
Built by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters in 1923 and extended in 1934, it runs 3,295 feet with five drops over a three minute circuit.
Planning a day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Pleasure Beach Resort sits at 525 Ocean Boulevard on Blackpool’s Promenade. Drivers leave the M6 at junction 32 onto the M55, then follow signs for Blackpool South Shore. Three charged car parks operate on site, North on Balmoral Road, East on Bond Street and West on Ocean Boulevard, with disabled bays at each and EV charging at North. Trains reach Blackpool North and the resort’s own station via Preston, and a tram stop sits outside the entrance.
Gates open from March through to the end of November, with opening and closing times varying by date on the published calendar. The operator does not publish a suggested visit length, though the ten roller coasters, five dark rides and five water rides all sit within the same seafront site. Ride availability is listed in advance, and guests may leave and return the same day after telling an ambassador.
Admission runs on eTickets, sold as the All You Can Ride eTicket, the Nickelodeon eTicket and the Flex Pass, with under twos free. Advance online rates hold until 6am on the day, after which gate rates apply, and all tickets are flexidate. Speedy Pass Virtual Queuing is a separate add on in Standard, VIP and Speedy One tiers. First timers often bring bags larger than A4 and get held at security.
