Park day gear worth packing

How to read these hours
A few signals tell you everything important about each date at Aquatica San Antonio at a glance.
Early entry at Aquatica San Antonio: nothing published, and what that means
Aquatica San Antonio does not publish an early entry program. The theme park sharing its address moves the gate forward on selected summer mornings, but nothing equivalent appears on the water park's own pages, and no pass tier sold for 2027 lists a head start. The posted open is the real open, and building a morning around an unpublished early window only wastes it.
That makes arrival a question of position rather than access. Everyone waits at the same turnstiles, and the crowd that matters is the one already parked when the gate lifts. On a July Saturday the plaza fills through the half hour beforehand. The gap between arriving at 10:00 AM and arriving at 10:45 AM shows up an hour later at the slide tower, not at the entrance.
What the pass tiers do cover
All four 2027 tiers include admission to both this water park and SeaWorld San Antonio. The Season Pass at $94.99 and the Silver Pass at $129.99 add free general parking, while the Gold Pass at $149.99 and the Platinum Pass at $219.99 upgrade that to free up close parking. Friend ticket counts rise with the tier. None of them shortens a slide queue.
Buying a shorter slide line: Quick Queue at the water park
Two paid line skip products are sold here, and the cheaper one is the stronger one. Quick Queue Unlimited plus Stingray Falls starts at $19.99 per person and gives unlimited priority at eight slides along with two rides on the Stingray Falls raft. The plain Quick Queue, listed at $29.99, buys a single priority ride at four attractions drawn from the same lineup.
The rules are short. A wristband covers one person on the date selected, an attendant checks it at each slide entrance, and the usual rider restrictions still apply. Admission and parking are bought separately. On a September Saturday closing at 5:00 PM the money buys more as a reserved lounger. On a peak summer Saturday it reshapes the whole afternoon.
Slides included in the unlimited wristband
The unlimited list is the thrill lineup rather than the family side, so it covers the slides that build long afternoon queues and skips the wave pool, the lazy river and the children's areas, none of which holds a queue worth skipping. Stingray Falls is capped at two rides, which reflects its slower loading as a family raft with an animal habitat attached.

AquaGlow nights and the only late closes on this calendar
AquaGlow is the water park's evening event and the reason a handful of 2026 dates run past dark. The official window is select nights from June 5 to September 5, ticketed separately from $29.99 rather than included with a day ticket. The park describes a lit version of itself: dance parties, a glowing lazy river, neon slides and a foam zone, with Big Surf Shores, Loggerhead Lane and Tonga Twister named as anchors.
The session sits after the day rather than inside it, and the posted times shift through the summer. Early June and August dates ran 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM behind a 6:00 PM day close. From the middle of June through early August the day stretched to 7:30 PM and the event ran 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Fridays and Saturdays carry almost all of them.
An 11:00 PM close is as late as this schedule ever goes, and the final night falls on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Slide queues shut at the posted time rather than emptying on the hour, so a last lap is usually possible. The walk out crosses the lot the theme park uses, which by that hour has been closed for most of the evening.
How a March to October calendar gets built around Texas school terms
Aquatica San Antonio is seasonal in a way its year round neighbor is not. The 2026 calendar posted its first date on March 7 and its last on October 12, with nothing at all in November, December, January or February. Fewer than half the days of the year carry hours, and the shape inside that window follows the Texas school year rather than the weather, which stays swimmable well past the closing date.
The season runs in three gears. Spring break brings daily operation across the first three weeks of March, after which April and early May drop to Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Daily hours return on May 22 and hold through August 9. From August 14 the park reverts to weekends, narrows to Saturdays and Sundays in mid September, and finishes on the Columbus Day weekend in October.
Dates go up unusually far ahead for a seasonal park: in early September 2026 the official calendar already carried hours through October 2027. A 5:00 PM close belongs to the quiet end of the year, 6:00 PM is the ordinary summer weekday, 7:30 PM signals an AquaGlow session behind the day, and 8:00 PM is reserved for summer Sundays. Today's hours appear in the card near the top of this page, and the day by day list below shows every posted date.
First hour at Aquatica: racers and drop capsules before the wave pool
A water park rewards a different opening plan than a coaster park. Nothing here holds a two hour queue, but the slides with the smallest dispatch, the drop capsules on Ihu's Breakaway Falls and the mat racers, move the fewest guests per minute and build the earliest. Take those in the first hour, while most arrivals are still choosing chairs and renting lockers, and save the wave pool for later.
The common mistake is claiming territory first. A group arrives, spends twenty minutes circling for the right set of chairs, and reaches the slide tower at 11:30 AM alongside everyone who did the same. Send one person to hold a spot and put the rest in line straight away. The second mistake is reading a 10:30 AM open as a 10:30 AM swim.
A workable order for the first ninety minutes
Clear the tower rides while the queues are still short, then work downward in intensity. Stingray Falls sits apart from the main slide complex and is the attraction most families backtrack for later, so it fits the middle of the morning far better than it fits the end of the day, when its raft line is usually the longest thing in the park.

Cabanas, loungers and where to leave a bag
Reserved seating sells in tiers and goes early on summer weekends. Loungers start at $14.99 for a pair beside Loggerhead Lane and $24.99 for four at Whanau Waters, with day beds from $29.99. Cabanas run from $129.99 for the Loggerhead Lane unit to $349.99 for the Ultimate, Kata's and Riptide suites, each including a locker, in cabana food service and a stocked refrigerator, seating four with more at $25 a head. Otherwise lockers are self service rentals in the upper plaza.
Driving to the Aquatica gate, and how it relates to the one next door
Aquatica San Antonio shares an address with the theme park at 10500 SeaWorld Drive, on the far west side of the city beyond Westover Hills. The park's own directions from downtown run Interstate 37 south to Highway 90 west, then the Highway 151 west exit followed by the Westover Hills Boulevard exit and a left turn. They point drivers at the SeaWorld entrance, because that is where the parking plaza sits.
Parking is bought per vehicle in three bands: general at $36, up close at $45 and covered VIP at $55. VIA Metropolitan Transit route 64 lists SeaWorld among its stops and runs every 30 minutes on weekdays from downtown. A SeaWorld day ticket does not cover this gate: a single day Aquatica ticket starts at $41.99, and the two park flex tickets, $79.99 for two days and $84.99 for three, are the cheaper route to both.
Frequently asked questions
What time does Aquatica San Antonio open?
Aquatica San Antonio opens at 10:30 AM on most dates from late May through the end of the season, and at 11:00 AM through spring and on Sundays in September and October. A few dates posted a noon open instead. There is no early entry window, so the posted time is the time.
What time does Aquatica San Antonio close?
Closing time falls between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The 2026 pattern was 6:00 PM on ordinary summer weekdays, 8:00 PM on summer Sundays, 7:30 PM on the peak Fridays and Saturdays carrying an AquaGlow session, and 5:00 PM on September and October weekends and on mid August weekdays.
What are Aquatica San Antonio's hours today?
The open and close posted for today sit in the card near the top of this page, in Central Time. Expect 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM on a summer weekday, a later close on a summer Sunday, and 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on an autumn weekend. No hours shown means the park is closed today.
What are Aquatica San Antonio's hours tomorrow?
Tomorrow's hours sit in the 14 day table under the today card, and the day by day list below carries every posted date. Aquatica publishes its calendar close to a year ahead, so tomorrow rarely surprises. Weather is the exception: a water park calls off a day for lightning or a cold front at short notice.
Is Aquatica San Antonio open all year, and which months does it close?
No. The park is dark for roughly five months. The 2026 calendar ran from March 7 to October 12, with nothing posted in November, December, January or February. March operation follows Texas spring break, daily hours cover late May to early August, and the season ends on the Columbus Day weekend.
Does Aquatica San Antonio offer early entry to pass members?
No early entry or preview program is published for Aquatica San Antonio. The 2027 tiers, Season Pass at $94.99, Silver at $129.99, Gold at $149.99 and Platinum at $219.99, list admission, parking and friend tickets, but none of them names early access here. Arriving before the posted open is the only route to short queues.
Which slide should you ride first at Aquatica San Antonio?
Start at the slide tower. Ihu's Breakaway Falls, with its drop capsules, and the mat racers Taumata Racer and Riptide Race move the fewest guests per minute and build the longest afternoon queues. Take those first, then Walhalla Wave, HooRoo Run and Tonga Twister. Leave Big Surf Shores and Loggerhead Lane for later.
Is Quick Queue worth buying at Aquatica San Antonio?
It depends on the date. Quick Queue Unlimited plus Stingray Falls starts at $19.99 per person and covers eight slides with unlimited priority, which earns its price on a July or early August Saturday. The one time version listed at $29.99 covers four attractions. On an autumn weekend the queues rarely justify either.
What is AquaGlow at Aquatica San Antonio, and when does it run?
AquaGlow is a separately ticketed evening event on select nights from June 5 to September 5, 2026, with tickets from $29.99. It opens once the regular day ends, at 7:00 PM in early June and August and at 8:00 PM through the peak weeks, and runs two to three hours.
How early should you get to Aquatica San Antonio?
Aim to stand at the turnstiles 20 to 30 minutes before the posted open on a summer weekend, and closer to the posted time in spring and autumn. Budget extra for the walk in from the parking lot and for renting a locker, both of which run slower than first visits allow for.
How do you get to Aquatica San Antonio, and how much is parking?
The park is at 10500 SeaWorld Drive on the far west side, reached from downtown by Interstate 37 south to Highway 90 west, then Highway 151 west to the Westover Hills Boulevard exit. Parking runs $36 general, $45 up close and $55 covered VIP. VIA route 64 lists SeaWorld among its weekday stops.
Why do some Aquatica San Antonio dates close at 5:00 PM and others run to 8:00 PM?
The posted close tracks expected demand rather than daylight. A 5:00 PM close appears on September and October weekends and on mid August weekdays once Texas schools return. A 6:00 PM close is the ordinary summer weekday, 8:00 PM belongs to summer Sundays, and 7:30 PM signals an AquaGlow session behind the day.
