Castaway Falls and Shaka-Laka Shores are separate splash-play areas. Solar Vortex, Rapids Racer and Wahoo Remix are raft slides with different ride experiences.

Three planning priorities

Find Castaway Falls on the left of the illustrated map. The multilevel play structure opened in May 2024 beside the Solar Vortex side of the park. It has spray features and smaller slides; Shaka-Laka Shores is a separate zero-depth play area nearer Endless Surf.

Match the slide to its actual ride type. Solar Vortex is a family raft slide with two open tailspin features. Rapids Racer uses two-person rafts on side-by-side routes. Riptide is the mat-racing slide shown toward the lower left of the map.

Read current operating notices. Wahoo Remix’s official attraction page says Closed when checked on September 13, 2026. Its label remains on the map. A printed attraction label does not establish availability on your visit date.

Map detail: wave pool and splash area

The archived crop shows Endless Surf above Shaka-Laka Shores, with Mango Joe’s Café to the left and Surfside Café below. These are distinct water attractions. The first-aid cross beside Surfside Café marks a service facility on the entrance-side path, not the wave pool itself.

Follow attraction names and service symbols

The map key distinguishes lockers, restrooms, companion restrooms, showers, first aid and accessible entrances. Locate the service symbol itself rather than assuming that every restroom has every facility. The map currently offered by the operator carries a 2025 label.

Adventure Island parking and directions

Adventure Island is at 10001 McKinley Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612, across from Busch Gardens. The official directions use Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive to reach Adventure Island’s parking and entrance.

Adventure Island, its visitor parking lot and the McKinley Drive arrival approach. View larger map.

Parking
Choose your dated parking product
The operator sells General, Preferred and VIP parking. Prices vary with the selected date, and premium spaces are subject to availability. Check whether your pass already includes parking before purchasing a separate product.
Directions
Fowler Avenue to McKinley Drive
The operator’s routes from I-75 and I-275 approach via Fowler Avenue, then turn south onto McKinley Drive. Use the official directions for your starting point and follow Adventure Island signs instead of navigating to the neighboring theme park’s entrance.
Arrival
Find Guest Relations first
Guest Relations is just inside the entrance, near the Island Surf Shop area shown on the map. Visit for accessibility-program enrollment or questions about available services. The entrance is also a useful reference when locating first aid and planning your return to the car.

Where to find guest services

Use the current accessibility page alongside the map legend when a service location matters.

Guest Relations
Just inside the entrance
The operator directs accessibility questions and Ride Accessibility Program enrollment to Guest Relations. Lost and found is also handled at the front-of-park Guest Relations location.
First aid
Near the entrance
The staffed First Aid facility is near the park entrance. The illustrated map places its cross beside Surfside Café. Any park ambassador can call for assistance; do not delay asking for help while trying to follow a saved map.
Restrooms
Check the companion symbol
The accessibility page identifies companion or family restrooms on Duval Street beside Colossal Pizza and at Castaway Falls beside Riptide and Castaway Falls. All park restrooms are wheelchair accessible, but companion facilities have specific locations.
Mobility
Wheelchairs, without ECV rental
Wheelchairs are available to rent, subject to availability, to the right of Guest Relations. The operator says ECVs are not available for rental. Guests may bring their own permitted wheelchairs or ECVs.
Lockers
Use the marked locker locations
The map marks lockers near several service clusters, including the entrance shop area. The FAQ offers all-day locker rentals and says cabanas include a locker. Its location list still uses the older Splash Attack name, so follow the current map, signs or staff guidance for that area.
Water and food
Check the current entry policy
The FAQ permits a bottle of water or refillable bottle. Outside food and coolers are generally restricted, with exceptions for special dietary needs and baby food or formula. Check the operator’s policy before packing and arranging accommodations.

Choose a route that fits your group

Select attractions by swimming ability, height requirements and current operation before deciding where to start.

Start with the official slide pages: Solar Vortex and Rapids Racer each list a 42-inch minimum height. Other slides have their own rules. Read the signs at each attraction, including clothing and supervision requirements, rather than applying one rule across the park.

For a play-focused visit, compare Castaway Falls with the separate zero-depth Shaka-Laka Shores area. Endless Surf is a wave pool, and Paradise Lagoon is another pool with its own activities. Neither should be treated as interchangeable with a children’s splash area.

Keep a service landmark in your route. Guest Relations and the first-aid area are near the entrance; the current map also identifies the dining locations and restrooms around the pools. Use on-site availability and your group’s needs to choose the next stop.

How to use this map

Start at the park entrance near the lower right of the illustrated sheet, then use the labeled attractions to orient yourself.

Rapids Racer and Wahoo Remix appear to the right of the main entry path. Endless Surf and Paradise Lagoon are toward the top of the sheet. Castaway Falls and Solar Vortex are on its left side, while Riptide is at the lower left. These directions describe the artwork, not compass bearings.

Save the operator’s current JPG image before your visit. The operator also offers an app with an interactive park map. The available download is modest in resolution, so use the app, posted signs and ambassadors when small service symbols are difficult to read.

Check the calendar and attraction-maintenance notices before traveling. Adventure Island is seasonal, and individual rides may be unavailable even when the waterpark is open. Keep Wahoo Remix’s posted closure in mind and revisit its operator page for updates.
