VietJet will start three-weekly flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Clark, Philippines, on November 10, 2026. For travelers who want a Vietnam connection that skips Manila International Airport, that date is the planning gate.

VietJet’s August 17 route announcement pairs the Clark launch with new Cebu services from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on the same start date. Each Philippines route is scheduled for three round trips a week.

What VietJet confirmed for Clark

Clark International Airport serves the Clark Freeport and Angeles City area north of Manila. A direct Ho Chi Minh City flight creates a second VietJet Philippines gateway besides Manila and the new Cebu pair.

VietJet says the Ho Chi Minh City to Clark service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. That is a midweek-plus-Saturday pattern, not a daily shuttle.

AeroRoutes schedule detail lists the Clark service as VJ1870 and VJ1871 on an Airbus A321, with a very early Ho Chi Minh City departure around 2:05 a.m. local and a morning Clark arrival. Treat those times as filed planning data until your booking confirmation shows the same clock.

Confirmed facts are the November 10 start, three-weekly frequency, and the Clark plus Cebu Philippines package. Exact fares after any short promo window, seat maps, and bag fees still need a live search on VietJet’s site.

How Clark differs from Manila or Cebu

Manila remains VietJet’s established Philippines hub from Ho Chi Minh City. Clark is useful when your trip centers on Central Luzon, Subic, or Angeles, or when you want to avoid a Manila transfer day.

Cebu is a different traveler job. The new Ho Chi Minh City to Cebu and Hanoi to Cebu routes target Visayas tourism, not Clark Freeport logistics. Do not buy a Cebu ticket if your hotel is in Angeles.

Travelers connecting onward inside Vietnam should still treat Tan Son Nhat as the HCMC airport and leave buffer for immigration and terminal transfer. Clark does not remove HCMC ground time on the Vietnam side.
