Prestige is framed as the all-park product. It lists admission to all Six Flags parks, limited preferred parking, free fountain beverages every visit, and a longer benefits stack.
The page also marks both offers as limited time. The dated bonus is September 7, 2026, written on the page as 9/7 and 9/7/26.
Gold members who enroll by that date get one free Bring-a-Friend ticket. Prestige members who enroll by that date get an extra Bring-a-Friend ticket and 20 dollars in-park credit.
Do not collapse those bonuses. The cheaper plan does not automatically include the Prestige extras.
How this differs from a prepaid Gold Pass
A monthly membership is not the same checkout as a prepaid season pass. Official season pass terms treat a Gold Membership as valid from the first monthly payment until it is canceled or deactivated.
That means the 12 dollar headline is a recurring charge after the 20 dollar start, not a one-time 12 dollar ticket. Budget the initial fee plus at least 12 months before you treat it as cheaper than a prepaid pass.

Use that 129 dollar figure as a comparison, not as the membership price. The official memberships page is still the source for the 12 dollar monthly rate and the September 7 friend-ticket deadline.
If you will visit only a few times, run the math before you enroll. Twelve months of Gold at 12 dollars plus the 20 dollar start is 164 dollars before tax, which can exceed a 129 dollar prepaid pass.
If you want the option to cancel later, the membership is the product that matches that choice. The prepaid pass is the product that matches a locked 2026 season.
Who the September 7 bonus is actually for
The friend ticket is a new-member bonus dated to September 7. It is not a promise that every future visit includes a free guest.
Gold still lists a regular Bring-a-Friend discount after the bonus. Prestige lists two free friend tickets annually as a standing benefit, plus the dated extra ticket if you enroll by September 7.
Do not tell a group that all six of you get in free because one person bought Gold. The dated bonus is one ticket on Gold and an extra ticket on Prestige.
The same September 7 family already has two live Deep Arrival cards that are different products. One is the Knott’s 2027 season pass sale. The other is Cedar Point’s two-for-50 friend ticket.
Those cards share a date, not a checkout. This story is a current-year Magic Mountain Gold membership, not a 2027 Knott’s pass and not an Ohio day-ticket pair.
Park planning still belongs on the current Six Flags Magic Mountain guide. The membership does not change ride heights, hours, or Fright Fest nights.
What Gold actually covers on the West Coast
The official memberships page says Gold includes all Six Flags parks in California, Arizona, and Mexico. The official terms page names that west region as California’s Great America, Knott’s Berry Farm, Knott’s Soak City, Discovery Kingdom, Magic Mountain, Six Flags Mexico, and the Hurricane Harbor parks in Concord, Los Angeles, Oaxtepec, and Phoenix.
That list is why a Magic Mountain Gold membership can still be useful on a Knott’s day. It is also why it is the wrong product if your next trip is Great Adventure, Cedar Point, or another park outside that west set.
Prestige is the product that says all Six Flags parks. If your 2026 calendar includes an East Coast or Midwest park, compare Prestige before you lock Gold.
Gold lists free general parking. Prestige lists limited preferred parking. Preferred is not the same as unlimited front-row parking on a sold-out Saturday.
Prestige also lists free fountain beverages every visit. Gold does not. Do not assume a drink plan is hiding inside the 12 dollar rate.
What this does not change
The membership page does not publish a cancel-by date, a blackout calendar, or a guest-ticket expiration window in the headline offer. Those details live in the membership agreement and the terms page.
It also does not turn Fright Fest or Holiday in the Park into a separate paid event for Gold members. The comparison chart includes admission to those events, but event nights still follow the park calendar.
Do not buy the membership because a maze name dropped in another story. This is a price and deadline story, not a new ride.
