Singapore Airlines is cutting its Los Angeles nonstop from 10 flights a week to 7 for the last two weeks of the winter schedule, from March 13 to March 27, 2027. Everything else it flies to the United States this winter holds steady.
The cut is small, and it lands on a fortnight that overlaps spring break for many US schools. If you were counting on picking between two nonstop departures a day out of LAX in late March, you will have one.
If Los Angeles is the start of the trip rather than the gateway, our guide to where to stay in Los Angeles covers which neighbourhoods suit an early-morning airport run.
- LAX nonstop: 10 weekly on the A350-900ULR through March 12, then 7 weekly from March 13 to 27, 2027.
- LAX via Tokyo Narita: 7 weekly on the Boeing 777-300ER all winter.
- New York: JFK nonstop 7 weekly, JFK via Frankfurt 7 weekly, Newark 7 weekly.
- San Francisco: 14 weekly all winter on the A350.
- Seattle: 5 weekly, not daily, on the A350.
LAX Drops From 10 to 7 Nonstops a Week on March 13
Mainly Miles published Singapore Airlines’ schedule through March 2027 on September 20. It shows the Los Angeles nonstop at 10 flights a week from October 25, 2026 through March 12, 2027, falling to 7 a week for the final two weeks of the season, March 13 to March 27. The aircraft is the Airbus A350-900ULR throughout.
Aviation A2Z’s schedule table, published September 21, carries the same Los Angeles figures and the same dates.
Ten a week means some days have two nonstops. Seven a week means one a day. From Saturday, March 13, every day has exactly one.
LAX Still Has a Daily One-Stop via Tokyo
The nonstop is not the only way Singapore Airlines connects Los Angeles and Singapore. It also flies a daily service via Tokyo Narita on the Boeing 777-300ER, and that runs at 7 a week for the whole winter, including the last two weeks.
So total Los Angeles departures go from 17 a week to 14. The difference for a passenger is the product: the nonstop is the long, direct A350 flight, while the Narita service is a one-stop on a different aircraft with a different cabin layout.
If you are booked in late March, check which of the two you are actually on. A fare search that shows Singapore Airlines from LAX may be offering the Narita routing on the days the second nonstop has gone.
The Rest of the US Schedule Holds Steady
Across the other gateways, the winter schedule does not move. San Francisco stays at 14 a week on a mix of A350 variants. New York JFK has a daily nonstop on the A350-900ULR and a daily one-stop via Frankfurt on the 777-300ER. Newark has a daily nonstop on the A350-900ULR.
Seattle is the one to note if you are used to a daily flight. It runs 5 times a week all winter on the A350, which means two days a week with no Seattle departure at all.
Houston does not appear in either published winter table. If you were planning around a Houston connection, confirm the current schedule directly with the airline before booking anything around it.
Where the Airline Is Adding Instead
The US picture is steady because the growth is elsewhere. Aviation A2Z frames the airline’s winter schedule around rising European capacity, and cites Mainly Miles’ calculation that the March 2027 schedule represents about 92 percent of the pre-pandemic monthly level across Singapore Airlines and the former SilkAir network.
For a US traveller the practical reading is that there is no new US route this winter and one small late-season cut. Our overview of Singapore Airlines covers the network and cabins, and our guide to Singapore Airlines A350-900 business class covers the aircraft on most of these routes.
