Silversea’s 4 New Suite Categories: Which Perks Start in 2027

Silversea has regrouped its 17 suite types into four categories, Oceanview, Veranda, Residence and Villa, and is adding new perks to the top two for sailings from 1 January 2027. The change applies to bookings made from 16 September 2026, the line said in a press release issued in Miami.

For guests comparing suites, the practical effect is simpler shopping and a clearer line between the standard and premium tiers. Our Silversea cruise line guide covers what every fare already includes.

At a Glance
  • Oceanview: Panorama and Vista suites.
  • Veranda: Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda and Veranda suites.
  • Residence: Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion and Medallion suites, with new early booking perks.
  • Villa: Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand and Royal suites, with the widest set of new perks.
  • Timing: bookings from 16 September 2026; benefits on sailings from 1 January 2027.

Which Suites Go Where

The press release maps every existing suite type into one of the four groups. Oceanview covers the Panorama and Vista suites. Veranda takes in the five veranda suite types, from Veranda to Premium Veranda. Residence groups the Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion and Medallion suites. Villa holds the largest suites, from the Otium and Master suites to the Owner’s, Grand and Royal suites.

Not every ship carries every suite type, so the category a given suite falls into is the useful label rather than the old name alone. The same four categories apply across both the classic and expedition fleets, Cruise Arabia and Africa reported.

What Stays the Same

Cruise Arabia and Africa reports that the existing inclusions continue for every category, listing butler service, 24 hour in-suite dining, Wi Fi, beverages, port fees, taxes and gratuities. It quotes the line as saying the change is meant to strengthen its personal service “while maintaining and expanding” those inclusions. In other words, the Oceanview and Veranda changes are a relabelling, and the new perks sit on top in the two upper tiers.

New Perks for Residence Suites

Residence guests get three additions on sailings from 1 January 2027: priority embarkation on Classic voyages, spa reservations opening 210 days before departure and dining reservations opening 150 days before departure.

Those earlier windows matter most on busy sailings, where popular restaurant times and spa slots can fill before embarkation.

New Perks for Villa Suites

Villa guests get everything in Residence plus a longer list, according to the release: a private transfer when air is booked through Silversea, one to one consultations with the chef, sommelier and spa manager, curated in-suite experiences such as chef selected dining, afternoon tea and stargazing with Champagne, a Technogym wellness bag in the suite, and extended use of the ship on the final day at select ports.

On expedition voyages, Villa guests also get flexible Zodiac departure times and priority access to kayaking.

“Guests choose to sail with Silversea time and time again for the intimacy of our ships and the personal attention that comes with it,” said Silversea president Bert Hernandez in the release.

What Is Still Unclear

The release does not say whether guests who booked before 16 September 2026 for 2027 sailings will receive the new Residence and Villa perks, and it gives no indication of any price change tied to the new categories. If you already hold a 2027 booking in one of those suite types, ask Silversea or your travel adviser whether the new benefits will be added.
