Shangri La Circle Summer Missions Add Breakfast and Dining Rewards

Shangri La Circle has opened a set of four Summer Multiplied missions across 25 hotels in Asia and the Pacific, giving registered members separate rewards for eligible stays and dining through August 31, 2026. The published rewards include a welcome drink, a 10 dollar dining voucher, two breakfast vouchers and 800 bonus points, each tied to its own threshold and exclusions.

The offer can add value to a trip already planned at a participating hotel, but it is not a reason to spend without comparing the reward with the required stay or dining bill. Registration, booking channel, transaction timing, eligible outlet, taxes, service charges and the short validity of the breakfast vouchers can all determine whether a member receives usable value.

Four missions have different thresholds

The official Summer Multiplied terms define two stay missions and two dining missions rather than one combined bonus. Members register through the Shangri La Circle mobile app, then track mission progress in the app as eligible activity is recorded at participating hotels and outlets.

The first stay mission provides one round of welcome drinks to the registered guest’s room after a minimum one night stay. The exact drink can vary by hotel, so the reward should be treated as a property selected welcome benefit rather than a cash credit or a promise that every guest in a larger party will receive the same item.

The larger stay mission gives two vouchers for complimentary breakfast for two guests after a minimum three night stay. The terms say the vouchers can be used at any participating hotel without another stay booking, but each voucher must be used in a single redemption and any unused portion is not refunded.

Those breakfast vouchers expire September 15, only 15 days after the promotion closes. A member checking out late in August should therefore decide before booking whether there is a realistic participating hotel and date for redemption, since earning a breakfast reward that cannot be used before expiration does not reduce the actual trip cost.

The first dining mission provides a 10 dollar voucher after 100 dollars of eligible food and beverage spend in one transaction. Splitting a meal across checks or accumulating several smaller visits will not satisfy that mission, even if the member’s total dining spend eventually passes 100 dollars.

The second dining mission awards 800 bonus points after 800 dollars of eligible dining spend. Unlike the 100 dollar mission, the larger threshold may be reached in one transaction or cumulatively through multiple eligible transactions during the promotion period, although each transaction still needs to be captured correctly in the member’s account.

Where the missions apply

The list covers 25 properties in nine countries and is concentrated in Asia and the Pacific. Singapore has Shangri La Singapore, Shangri La Rasa Sentosa, JEN Singapore Orchardgateway and JEN Singapore Tanglin, while Malaysia has properties in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kota Kinabalu.

The Malaysian group includes Shangri La Kuala Lumpur, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Shangri La Golden Sands, Shangri La Rasa Sayang, JEN Penang Georgetown, Shangri La Rasa Ria and Shangri La Tanjung Aru. The Philippines has Shangri La The Fort, Makati Shangri La, Edsa Shangri La, Shangri La Boracay and Shangri La Mactan in Cebu. Thailand contributes Shangri La Bangkok and Shangri La Chiang Mai, while the remaining hotels are Shangri La Tokyo, Shangri La Jakarta, Shangri La Surabaya, Shangri La Phnom Penh, Shangri La The Marina Cairns, Shangri La Sydney and Shangri La Yanuca Island in Fiji.

Participation does not mean every restaurant, package or charge at those hotels qualifies. The terms specifically exclude Beng Hiang at Shangri La Singapore, and they remove numerous categories from eligible spend, so members should ask the hotel to confirm the exact outlet and charge treatment before ordering around a mission threshold.

What counts as eligible spend

Dining progress is calculated in United States dollars after currency conversion, excluding service charges and taxes. Shangri La determines the exchange rate used for the promotion, which means a local currency bill close to a threshold can fall short after excluded charges and conversion even when the amount printed on the receipt looks high enough.

Members must present their membership card when settling an eligible outlet bill, or charge the spend to the registered member’s room. The terms advise guests pursuing missions to settle food and beverage charges directly at the outlet, because a room charge with a checkout or payment date after August 31 will not count even when the meal occurred earlier.

Eligible spend excludes government and local taxes, service charges, tips, gift certificates, catering, events, deliveries, minibar purchases, room service, late charges, missed stay charges and cancellation penalties. Spending settled with points and purchases at Shangri La Boutique are also excluded, so the 100 dollar and 800 dollar thresholds must be reached with the narrower eligible dining total.

A Shangri La voucher used at the time of consumption can still leave the underlying eligible spend in the mission calculation, according to the terms. By contrast, discounts from third party platforms such as dining marketplaces do not count after the discount is applied, and the promotion cannot be combined with other promotions, special offers, gift vouchers or staff discounts.

The booking channel matters for stay missions because only reservations made through Shangri La’s website, Circle mobile app or WeChat Mini Programme qualify. Third party reservations and designated point ineligible packages are excluded, so a lower online travel agency price should be compared with the real value of the mission reward rather than rejected automatically.

How to protect the reward

Register in the Circle app before relying on the offer, then confirm the exact property, booking channel and stay dates. A qualifying stay must begin, finish and be checked out within the promotion window, so an August stay that ends in September does not satisfy the published timing even when most nights occur before the deadline.

At check in, attach the registered membership number and ask how the property records the stay mission. Only one reward is issued per transaction, and when two or more guests share a stay only one mission and corresponding reward goes to one registered stay guest, so separate members should not both expect credit from the same room.

For dining, present the membership card before settlement and ask for the eligible subtotal without taxes, service or excluded items. Keep the itemized receipt and payment record until the app reflects progress, because vouchers and bonus points can take up to 10 working days after the qualifying spend is completed and paid.

The same principle applies across the list: choose the right city and location first, compare direct and third party totals second, then treat the mission as a smaller adjustment to the decision.

What to verify before booking

Recheck the official terms and the selected hotel’s live offer details before payment because outlet participation, voucher conditions and property availability can change. Confirm the direct rate, cancellation terms, included breakfast, mission eligibility and total after taxes, then compare that package with any lower rate that would not earn the mission.

If dining is the main goal, verify whether the restaurant accepts the promotion, whether the planned items qualify and which exchange rate will be used for the United States dollar threshold. Ask for direct settlement at the outlet when practical, then keep the dated itemized bill and ensure the registered Circle number is attached before the transaction closes.

Finally, open the app after the expected posting period and inspect each voucher’s own terms, availability, blackout dates and minimum spend. The promotion rewards are tied to the recipient’s membership number, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash and are nonrefundable, so another traveler cannot simply use an unwanted reward outside the published rules.
