SeaWorld San Antonio BBQ Weekends Run Through September 7

SeaWorld San Antonio’s Red, White and BBQ festival is still running on Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day through September 7, 2026. The event itself is included with park admission. The food is not.

That split is the traveler decision for the next four weekends. If you already hold a ticket or pass, the remaining BBQ days are a calendar choice, not a new ticket product. If you do not, buy admission first and treat the $39.99 five-punch sampler as an optional add-on. The official Red, White and BBQ page is the primary record. Tiqets’ event listing independently shows the same window running now through September 7.

Which dates still count

The sampler terms on the official page are the cleanest date list: valid August 8 through September 7, Saturdays and Sundays only, plus Labor Day Monday. Labor Day 2026 is September 7, so the last day is a Monday, not a Sunday.

The park’s events listing tile currently prints a shorter range, August 15 to September 1. Do not use that tile as the ticket. The sampler card and the event page both keep Labor Day in play, and the park’s own hours calendar already labeled August 8 and 9 as Red, White and BBQ days. The remaining useful weekends are August 15 to 16, August 22 to 23, August 29 to 30, and September 5 to 7.

If you can visit only on a weekday, this festival is the wrong reason to buy a ticket.

What is included and what is not

Walk-around entertainment, the Texas BBQ area, and the festival atmosphere ride with a regular ticket. Line dancing is listed on the official page as part of that Texas area. Food, drinks, and the sampling lanyard are extra.

The five-punch sampler is $39.99 plus tax. It covers any mix of marked food and drink samples at the Texas, Kansas City, Memphis, Carolina, and International BBQ locations. Redeem the e-ticket once for the lanyard before you start punching. Alcohol still requires a valid photo ID and a guest 21 or older. The lanyard is valid only on event days and will not be replaced if lost.

A family of four that just wants the atmosphere should skip the sampler and buy plates a la carte. Two adults who want to compare four regional styles in one afternoon should buy two lanyards and stop there. Do not assume every booth item is a sample. Only marked menu items count.

How this weekend sits against Electric Ocean and Halloween

Electric Ocean is still listed on Friday through Sunday hours from August 7 through September 6, with the park often open until 9:00 p.m. on those nights. A Saturday BBQ visit can therefore stack a daytime food walk with a night event. That is useful. It is also a longer, hotter day. Bring a plan for shade and a later dinner, not a second sampler.

Halloween is the next calendar cliff. Spooktacular is listed for select dates from September 10 through November 1. Howl-O-Scream is listed from September 11 through November 1. Labor Day weekend is the last BBQ weekend before those overlays start. If you want the food festival without Halloween crowds or separately ticketed scare nights, September 5 to 7 is the last clean window.

Do not buy a Howl-O-Scream night ticket thinking it includes leftover BBQ booths. The official pages treat them as different events.

San Antonio trip math, not Orlando math

SeaWorld Orlando is running its own Red, White and BBQ overlay this summer, framed around America’s 250th. That is a different park, a different menu, and a different ticket. A Florida pass does not admit you in Texas.

San Antonio visitors should pair the park day with the rest of the city only if the weekend hours leave room. Do not try to stack the Alamo and a 9:00 p.m. Electric Ocean close on the same first-time visit unless someone in the group is willing to skip rides.

Imagine a couple flying into SAT on Friday, August 14, with a hotel near SeaWorld. Their clean play is Saturday for BBQ plus Electric Ocean, Sunday morning for a shorter ride block, and a River Walk dinner Sunday night. Buying the sampler on both days is wasted money. One lanyard on Saturday is enough if they actually want the regional comparison.

Confirm the live hours calendar the week you travel. Event days, booths, and closing time can move.

August in San Antonio is an outdoor food walk. The official photos put the booths against the park’s water and coaster spine, which means sun, not air-conditioning. If you buy the sampler, redeem it early and punch the perishable items first. Parking, lockers, and bottled water are still separate charges on event days. The SeaWorld app is the place to check booth hours after you scan in.

If you want SeaWorld San Antonio’s BBQ festival, go on a remaining Saturday, Sunday, or Labor Day and decide the sampler after you have a ticket. Weekdays and Orlando tickets do not count.
