Red Lion Hotel Rogue Regency Medford Airport opened under the Sonesta portfolio on August 31 with 203 rooms, free hot breakfast, free parking and an airport shuttle that may cost extra.

The property is at 2300 Biddle Road, about 1.5 miles from the airport. It is not a newly constructed hotel. The opening brings the existing Rogue Regency property into Sonesta’s Red Lion system, including Sonesta Travel Pass earning and redemption.

What changed at the Medford hotel

Sonesta announced the opening of Red Lion Hotel Rogue Regency Medford Airport on August 31. The release confirms the room count, Biddle Road address and proximity to the airport.

The important distinction is that this is a brand opening, not a promise that a new building appeared overnight. Travelers may recognize the Rogue Regency name or older property listings. What changes is the hotel’s place inside the Red Lion by Sonesta portfolio and its access to Sonesta Travel Pass.

That makes the current direct hotel page the place to check before booking. Amenities, pet charges, shuttle arrangements and cancellation terms can change more quickly than an opening announcement.

The hotel says members can earn or redeem Sonesta Travel Pass points. Travelers moving an existing reservation from another booking channel should confirm whether the rate qualifies before expecting points.

Breakfast, parking and the airport shuttle

The current property page lists a free hot breakfast served from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. That early start can be useful for many morning flights, but it will not cover every predawn departure.

Self-parking is listed as complimentary for overnight guests. The property also advertises a Park and Fly option at $8 per night. Those are different products, so a traveler leaving a car during a trip should ask how many parking days a chosen rate includes.

The airport shuttle requires the most attention. Sonesta describes it as optional, available for a nominal fee and something guests should arrange by contacting the hotel. Do not arrive at the airport assuming a free shuttle is circling continuously.

Ask three direct questions: how much the ride costs, what hours it runs and how far ahead it must be reserved. A short airport distance can still become an expensive rideshare problem when a flight leaves early or lands late.

The hotel lists an indoor pool and hot tub, WiFi, a fitness center, restaurant and sports bar. Those features make it more than a place to sleep before a flight, especially for families trying to absorb a weather delay or a long road-trip day.

The listed dog policy allows up to two dogs weighing as much as 85 pounds each for a $25 fee per night. A traveler with another type of pet or an extended stay should contact the hotel rather than assume the same terms apply.

The hotel’s posted cancellation policy calls for cancellation at least 24 hours before arrival. The rate selected at checkout controls, and prepaid or promotional rates can be stricter.

Medford works as a transportation base for the Rogue Valley and for road trips that continue beyond the city. The airport location can reduce friction on arrival night, but it does not eliminate the driving required for many regional attractions.
