Instant savings is a fare cut, not a later coupon. Princess says the amount is already reflected in the advertised cruise fare after any percentage off is applied, so you will not see a second 200 dollar line appear at checkout. That is why a shopper who hunts for a hidden second discount at payment is looking at the wrong field.
Onboard credit works differently. It posts to the ship folio in the ship’s onboard currency, must be used on that voyage, cannot be spent in the casino, and expires when the sailing ends.
