Kentucky Kingdom Hosts Jack O Lantern Spectacular Starting October 1

Louisville’s signature pumpkin trail is changing addresses for fall 2026. Kentucky Kingdom announced on July 21 that Jack O Lantern Spectacular will move to the theme park for its 14th year, pairing the carved-pumpkin walk with Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom.

Louisville Public Media reports that Passion for Pumpkins leader Travis Reckner called the Kentucky Kingdom chapter a chance to welcome more guests while combining displays with rides and fall treats. Park spokesperson Carly Uglow said the joint event will include night rides, on-site parking, trick-or-treat stations, a hay maze, and live entertainment.

The same reporting notes that Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said the Parks Alliance of Louisville will no longer partner with Jack O Lantern Spectacular. The Spectacular had been the alliance’s largest fundraiser while it was based at Iroquois Park.
