Transport for London lists Jubilee line closures between Green Park and Canary Wharf from 4:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, until 1:30 a.m. Sunday, October 4, and again from 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
Its date-specific status board also lists no service between Green Park and Stratford from 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday. The Sunday daytime notice gives no end time, so 1:30 a.m. is not a reopening time for the weekend. Anyone traveling between central London and the Docklands, North Greenwich, or Canary Wharf hotels this weekend needs a different path before they leave the hotel.
The same weekend also takes out Friday Night Tube on the eastern Jubilee, shuts Canada Water station, and later cuts the Victoria line south of Victoria. TfL tells travelers heading between central London and North Greenwich to go via Stratford. My London independently listed the Green Park to Canary Wharf gap among October Underground shutdowns published on September 30. The later Piccadilly Heathrow weekend on October 17 to 18 is a separate closure on the same official list; this post covers the October 3 to 4 Jubilee window only.
- Daytime gap: Green Park to Canary Wharf: Saturday 4:30 a.m. to Sunday 1:30 a.m.; again from Sunday 5:30 a.m., with no end time shown.
- Night Tube: Sunday 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.: Green Park to Stratford closed; JL3 serves North Greenwich, Canning Town, and Stratford.
- Reroute: TfL says travel via Stratford between central London and North Greenwich.
- Canada Water: Station closed from 1:30 a.m. Saturday and all day Sunday; use Surrey Quays.
- Victoria line: No service Victoria to Brixton from 7:30 p.m. Saturday until 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday Daytime Gaps on the Jubilee Line
The daytime closure has two published windows. TfL lists no Jubilee trains between Green Park and Canary Wharf from 4:30 a.m. Saturday until 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 5:30 a.m. Sunday. The reviewed Sunday notice does not give an end time. Check the status board and your journey before using this segment. That stretch is the line’s central London to Docklands spine. It normally carries people from the West End and Westminster to Waterloo, London Bridge, and Canary Wharf, then onward toward North Greenwich and Stratford.
Stations on that closed middle include Green Park, Westminster, Waterloo, Southwark, London Bridge, Bermondsey, Canada Water, and Canary Wharf. Do not count on a through Jubilee ride from Bond Street into Canary Wharf, or a westbound Jubilee from Canary Wharf into the West End. TfL’s wording is precise: if you are traveling between central London and North Greenwich, go via Stratford. Check the app on the morning you travel, because engineering windows can shift at the edges.
Night Tube Gap to Stratford
The dated October 2 planned-closures list identified a Finchley Road to Stratford gap for Friday Night Tube on the night of October 2 into October 3. The reviewed official PDF does not give exact clock times for that elapsed window. It does not establish whether the planned service changes were carried out.
The dated closures list also identified Northern line trains skipping Waterloo from 2:45 a.m. to 4:15 a.m. early Saturday. That is separate dated Night Tube planning, not a current interchange warning.
The separate Sunday overnight notice lists no Green Park to Stratford service from 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. October 4. JL3 also operates between North Greenwich, Canning Town, and Stratford in that window. This is followed by the Sunday daytime Green Park to Canary Wharf closure from 5:30 a.m.
Canada Water Station Closes With the Jubilee
Canada Water is not only missing Jubilee trains. TfL will close the station itself from 1:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, and keep it closed all day Sunday, October 4. Use Surrey Quays instead. That matters for anyone changing to the Windrush line of London Overground, which will not stop at Canada Water during Friday and Saturday Night Overground services and through Sunday.
On Sunday only, TfL will run replacement bus M between Canada Water and Clapham Junction via Surrey Quays. That bus is a Sunday overlay, not a Saturday substitute. The Windrush line also has no service from Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction on Sunday, October 4, extending into Tuesday, October 6 on the printed list. Check that National Rail transfer before you book a Sunday move south.
Victoria Line South of Victoria the Same Night
The Jubilee is not the only central line with a hard stop this weekend. From 7:30 p.m. Saturday until 10:00 a.m. Sunday, TfL will run no Victoria line trains between Victoria and Brixton. My London notes reduced service on the rest of the Victoria line in the same window because of track crossing repair work in the Brixton area. Passengers should expect delays even north of Victoria.
TfL tells travelers to use London Buses or National Rail between Victoria and Brixton. Give yourself that alternative before 7:30 p.m. Saturday if you are staying in Brixton or starting a Sunday airport run from south London. On Sunday the DLR also has no service from Tower Gateway to Shadwell, and Elizabeth line trains will not stop at Acton Main Line, Hanwell, and West Ealing from 11:00 p.m. Saturday until 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
How to Reach Docklands Without That Stretch
Start with TfL’s own instruction: travel via Stratford between central London and North Greenwich. From the West End, that can mean a ride to Stratford, then the eastern Jubilee toward North Greenwich. Do not assume a westbound Jubilee will appear at Canary Wharf during the daytime gap. Elizabeth line and DLR stations at Canary Wharf are not listed as closed on the October 3 to 4 sheet; confirm them in the app because they sit beside the closed Jubilee rather than on it.
Use bus JL3 only among North Greenwich, Canning Town, and Stratford in the listed overnight windows. The Sunday notice lists it from 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.; it is not a daytime replacement for the central closure. It will not get you to Green Park.
Later October Closures Already on the Same List
TfL’s Friday, October 2 closures PDF already names the next waves. Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, take Circle and District services through a wide central London gap. Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, close the Piccadilly line from Hammersmith to Heathrow and Uxbridge, including Night Tube. That Heathrow weekend is a separate stream. Recheck TfL’s status board the morning you travel. The official diversion via Stratford stands until TfL publishes a different instruction.
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Need Canary Wharf or North Greenwich in the Saturday or Sunday daytime gap | Do not ride the Jubilee through the middle. Go via Stratford, as TfL instructs, and add interchange time. |
| Need Green Park to Stratford between 1:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Sunday | TfL lists no Jubilee service on that segment. JL3 covers North Greenwich, Canning Town, and Stratford, not Green Park. |
| Change at Canada Water this weekend | The station is closed from 1:30 a.m. Saturday through Sunday. Use Surrey Quays. Sunday bus M runs to Clapham Junction. |
| Need Victoria to Brixton after 7:30 p.m. Saturday | The Victoria line is out until 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Switch to buses or National Rail before 7:30 p.m. |
Canada Water has a separately published closure. TfL lists the station closed from 1:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, and all day Sunday. Use Surrey Quays; Sunday bus M serves Clapham Junction via Surrey Quays.
4:30 a.m. Saturday is the daytime gap. The published Green Park to Canary Wharf window lasts until 1:30 a.m. Sunday. A Green Park to Stratford gap follows until 5:30 a.m., then Green Park to Canary Wharf closes again from 5:30 a.m. Travel via Stratford for North Greenwich in the daytime gaps; check the overnight JL3 option separately.
7:30 p.m. Saturday is the Victoria line cut. Victoria to Brixton is out until 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Move to buses or National Rail before that hour.
When is the Jubilee line closed between Green Park and Canary Wharf?
TfL lists no Green Park to Canary Wharf service from 4:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, until 1:30 a.m. Sunday, October 4, and again from 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Its Sunday daytime notice gives no end time. Green Park to Stratford is also closed from 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
How do I get to North Greenwich if the Jubilee is closed?
TfL says travel via Stratford between central London and North Greenwich. JL3 covers North Greenwich, Canning Town, and Stratford in the listed overnight windows, including 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday. It does not replace the whole central closure, and the Sunday daytime notice directs travelers via Stratford.
Is Canada Water station open this weekend?
No. TfL will close Canada Water from 1:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, and all day Sunday, October 4. Use Surrey Quays.
Does the Victoria line still run to Brixton on Saturday night?
Not after 7:30 p.m. Saturday. There is no Victoria line service between Victoria and Brixton until 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Use buses or National Rail.
Is the Elizabeth line to Canary Wharf closed too?
Canary Wharf is not on TfL’s closed list for October 3 to 4. The listed Elizabeth line skips are Acton Main Line, Hanwell, and West Ealing from 11:00 p.m. Saturday until 9:00 a.m. Sunday. Confirm in the app before you travel.
When is the Piccadilly line closed to Heathrow?
Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, including Night Tube, on the same TfL closures list. That is a later weekend than this Jubilee shutdown.
