JetBlue will start daily nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Cali, Colombia, on October 15, according to the airline’s May 4 Fort Lauderdale announcement. Cali becomes the fourth Colombian city JetBlue serves, two weeks after Barranquilla joined the network.
South Florida travelers, and anyone connecting through JetBlue’s US network, get a nonstop way into Cali without changing planes in Bogota or another hub. For planning the trip itself, our guide to things to do in Colombia covers the country beyond the airport.
- Route: Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Cali (CLO), nonstop.
- Start date: October 15, 2026.
- Frequency: One flight a day, per JetBlue.
- Colombia network: Medellin, Cartagena, Barranquilla and Cali.
- Sister launch: Barranquilla began October 1 with fares from $134 one way.
Cali Is the Fourth Colombian City
JetBlue lists the Cali flight as one daily frequency from October 15 in its May 4 release. The same release gave October 1 as the launch date for daily Barranquilla flights, which JetBlue says it has now started.
The Bulkhead Seat reports that Barranquilla joins Medellin and Cartagena, and that Cali, scheduled later this month, will bring the network to four Colombian destinations.
What Barranquilla Shows About the Cali Flight
JetBlue has not published a Cali timetable in the sources checked, so this story does not give departure times. For comparison, the Barranquilla flight leaves Fort Lauderdale at 11:05 a.m. and lands at 12:55 p.m., and returns from Colombia at 2:05 p.m. to arrive at 5:56 p.m., according to JetBlue’s October 1 release.
JetBlue operates the Barranquilla route with Airbus A320 aircraft that carry free Fly-Fi and seatback live television. Check the booking page for Cali’s aircraft and times before you plan around them.
Fares and Cabins
To mark the Barranquilla start, JetBlue offered one-way fares from $134 in Main and $234 in EvenMore, as Rus Tourism News reports. No launch fare for Cali appears in the sources checked.
EvenMore fares add extra legroom, early boarding and dedicated overhead bin space, according to the Bulkhead Seat. Compare that against the Main price if you are carrying a lot for a family visit.
Fort Lauderdale Keeps Growing
JetBlue’s May 4 release describes a broader Fort Lauderdale push with eleven new destinations. Columbus and Indianapolis are listed for November 2, and our report on JetBlue’s Fort Lauderdale expansion covers the July launches.
JetBlue says Fort Lauderdale is a growing connecting gateway, so travelers from other cities can reach Cali on one ticket through Florida. Learn more about the carrier in our JetBlue guide.
Colombia After the August Earthquake
A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on August 10, the strongest to originate in the country since at least 1990, according to the US Geological Survey as cited by Aerohaber. JetBlue helped move relief workers and supplies into Medellin with All Hands and Hearts and Americares.
Our report on the airport suspensions after the Colombia earthquake covers how flights were affected that day. The sources checked for this story do not say whether the quake changed the Cali launch, so confirm your date with JetBlue.
More Colombia Choice From Florida
Rus Tourism News says the Barranquilla flight lets Florida travelers reach the Caribbean coast and one of the country’s largest cities without connecting through Bogota. Cali adds a fourth nonstop option for travelers who would otherwise build their own connection through another hub.
JetBlue is also planning a Fort Lauderdale to Caracas return, which we covered in JetBlue’s Venezuela service plan for February 2027. Together the two routes make South Florida a bigger part of the carrier’s Latin America network.
Booking Notes for October
The first flight is eleven days away, so seats on opening day may be limited. If you need a specific date, check the JetBlue schedule rather than relying on third-party flight trackers, which can show placeholder times.
Visitors to Colombia should also check entry rules and any local travel advisories that apply to their dates before they book.
