JetBlue Opens BlueHouse Lounge at Boston Logan Aug 27

JetBlue travelers flying out of Boston Logan finally have a firm lounge date.

The airline says its second BlueHouse location opens in Terminal C at 5 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, August 27, 2026, directly across from Gate C25.

The bigger planning change is access. Starting the same morning, complimentary entry expands to departing customers on Mint or Mint Flex fares at both Boston and New York, alongside Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier cardholders.

What changed from the summer teaser

Through late June, JetBlue still described Boston BlueHouse as a summer Terminal C project without a public opening day. That earlier planning window is now replaced by a clock travelers can use.

In its August 24 release, JetBlue set the Thursday morning start and named Gate C25 as the landmark. The same announcement expands complimentary lounge entry to Mint and Mint Flex customers departing from Boston or New York.

The Points Guy toured the space before opening and reported the lounge can hold about 204 guests. That matters because JetBlue is trying to keep BlueHouse quieter than crowded coalition lounges by keeping paid access limited.

Who can get in, and who cannot

Complimentary access belongs to three groups: Mosaic 4 TrueBlue elites, JetBlue Premier cardholders, and customers departing on a confirmed Mint or Mint Flex fare. Mosaic 4 and Premier guests may bring one complimentary guest, with additional guests at $39 each.

BlueFirst, JetBlue’s short-haul first-class product, does not unlock BlueHouse. A new Mint Base fare arriving in the coming weeks also will not include lounge access or free advanced seat selection.

Mosaic 3 members can buy a one-time pass for $59 when space allows. Mosaic 1 and Mosaic 2 members, plus JetBlue Plus and Business cardholders, pay $79.

Entry still requires a same-day boarding pass on Mint, Mint Flex, EvenMore, EvenMore Flex, Main, or Main Flex.

What the Boston lounge is built to feel like

JetBlue is framing the room as a New England home rather than a generic glass box. The release highlights a Neighborhood Bar with copper finishes, a Dugout game room with local sports cues, a Library Workspace modeled after the Boston Public Library, and a Candy Closet stocked by Madeleine’s Candy Shop.

Food is meant to be plated and local, including North Shore roast beef sliders and crab or shrimp rolls, with cocktails from beverage director Jackson Cannon and coffee from George Howell. That is a sharper kitchen pitch than a typical grab-and-go lounge snack wall.

TPG’s walkthrough also noted a Green Monster-inspired wall and a Richard Scarry mural adapted with a JetBlue aircraft. Those details do not change eligibility, but they explain why Boston BlueHouse will not feel like a copy of the JFK apartment-style room that opened in late 2025.

Why Boston, and why now

Boston is JetBlue’s second-largest focus city. The airline says it is offering more than 133 daily departures from Logan this summer to 68 destinations, including 25 international cities and nine daily nonstops to Europe.

BlueHouse is part of the JetForward push to earn more premium revenue on the ground as well as in the cabin. Opening a second owned lounge also gives Mosaic 4 and Premier customers a reason to stay inside the JetBlue ecosystem instead of hunting coalition lounges.

Terminal C is still headed for a separate billion-dollar renovation. JetBlue says BlueHouse itself remains intact through that work, and the new lounge sits across from Gate C25 rather than inside a temporary construction zone travelers have to guess about.

How to plan a Thursday departure or later

If you already hold Mint or Mint Flex out of Boston or New York, recheck the fare brand before August 27. Complimentary BlueHouse access is tied to Mint and Mint Flex, not to every seat in the Mint cabin family.

If you are Mosaic 1 through 3 or hold a Plus or Business card, budget for the day-pass price and assume entry is first come, first served. Arriving close to departure with no cushion is the easiest way to miss the room when it is full.

International Mint customers gain the same complimentary rule in Boston and New York. Domestic Mint travelers who previously had no lounge story now have one, as long as the ticket is Mint or Mint Flex rather than Mint Base once that fare appears.

How this compares with the JFK BlueHouse

JetBlue opened its first BlueHouse at New York JFK in late 2025. Boston is larger, at about 12,000 square feet versus roughly 9,000 in New York, according to TPG’s reporting from the media tour.

The design brief is deliberately different. JFK leaned toward an apartment feel, while Boston leans into local neighborhoods, sports, and New England hospitality cues highlighted on the media tour.

Access policy is now aligned across both rooms for Mint and Mint Flex. That matters for travelers who connect through one city and return through the other, because the Mint rule is no longer a Boston-only rumor.

Practical Terminal C tips for opening week

BlueHouse sits airside in Terminal C opposite Gate C25. Eligible guests still need to clear security with enough time to walk to that gate area before the three-hour entry window becomes useless.

Same-day boarding passes are required for every customer and guest. Screenshot or wallet passes help if phone battery or app login fails while you are already in the terminal.

If you are buying a day pass, treat capacity as uncertain. JetBlue says paid entry is pending space availability at the check-in desk, so a Mosaic 3 traveler who arrives 40 minutes before boarding can be turned away even after paying nothing yet.
