I Prefer Hotel Rewards is still showing its Newest Additions special on September 30, 2026: earn 2,500 bonus points when you stay at participating new member hotels, with bookings due today and stays through December 31, 2026, according to the live I Prefer offer page. Preferred Hotels and Resorts published the same dates in its July 28, 2026 bulletin on 10 properties that joined between April 1 and June 30.
The traveler decision is whether to book a qualifying stay today on the official path, or let the bonus expire at the calendar date. If Bali is the trip, pair a Meru Sanur look with Deep Arrival’s where to stay in Bali area guide before you pay a cash rate just to chase 2,500 points.
- Book by: September 30, 2026, still posted on iprefer.com/offer/newest-additions.
- Stay by: December 31, 2026, on a completed qualifying stay.
- Bonus: 2,500 I Prefer points per eligible stay, not per night.
- Path: PreferredHotels.com, iprefer.com, the I Prefer app, or Global Reservations, with a member number on the booking.
- Join: I Prefer is free; Preferred cites more than 6 million members and more than 700 participating hotels.
September 30 Is the Booking Deadline Still on the Offer Page
The offer page reviewed on the morning of September 30 still repeats the two dates: book by September 30, 2026, for stays through December 31, 2026. That is the live consumer page, not a leftover press clip. If you are reading after midnight in your time zone, confirm the page still loads the same sentence before you assume you have hours left.
Preferred’s July 28 bulletin used the same booking and stay windows for members earning 2,500 bonus points at participating new member properties. Independent coverage on Frequent Miler logged the same September 30 book-by date and December 31 stay-through date, plus the booking channels that qualify.
This is a same-day gate, not a vague fall promo. A reservation started on October 1 for a December weekend will not earn this 2,500-point bonus even if the hotel is still new. The stay can be later. The booking cannot.
How the 2500 Bonus Is Earned
Frequent Miler states that the booking must be made through PreferredHotels.com, iprefer.com, the I Prefer app, or Preferred Hotels and Resorts Global Reservations, and that it must contain a valid I Prefer member number before arrival. Bonus points post after the qualified stay is completed. A screenshot of a third-party rate without a member number is the usual way to miss the credit.
The same write-up values 2,500 points at about $12.50 and notes that the bonus is per stay, not per night. That math is a third-party estimate, not a Preferred cash chart. Use it as a ceiling check: if the official rate is $40 above an equivalent non-qualifying booking, the points do not pay for the difference.
Preferred says members earn points redeemable for cash-value Reward Certificates, Titanium status, and other benefits at more than 700 hotels. Joining is free at IPrefer.com/enroll. If you are not a member, create the account first, then book, so the number is on the reservation before you arrive.
Which New Hotels Are in the Q2 Wave
The July 28 bulletin names the Q2 2026 members. Highlighted properties include The Botany on Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, The Meru Sanur in Bali, Ilora Retreats in Kenya’s Masai Mara, Via Antwerp in Belgium, and MYTHIC SANA Downtown Suites in Lisbon. Other names on that list include Montebelo Vista Alegre Lisboa Chiado Hotel, San Clemente Palace Venice, Teatro Luxury Apartments in Florence, The Victoria Killarney in Ireland, and Wynn Al Marjan Island in the United Arab Emirates.
Not every name on that list is stayable by December 31. Preferred describes The Botany as debuting this winter, which may miss a fall stay. Wynn Al Marjan Island is listed in the same bulletin and, in later Preferred material, as launching in spring 2027. Do not book a 2026 stay at a hotel that is not yet open. The offer page is the participating-hotel list that matters today, not a press recap from July.
San Clemente Palace Venice is on the Q2 member list and is a usable example of a Legend Collection hotel already in the portfolio. Bali’s Meru Sanur is the other practical example for travelers who already have an Indonesia trip on the calendar. Check the live offer filter before you assume either hotel is still coded for the bonus.
Booking Channels That Qualify
Book on the Preferred or I Prefer path. Frequent Miler lists PreferredHotels.com, iprefer.com, the I Prefer app, and Global Reservations. Travel advisors can use GDS chain codes PH and PV, according to the July 28 bulletin. An Expedia or hotel-dot-com booking that never receives your I Prefer number is the miss.
Put the member number on the reservation before arrival day. If you join after you book, call Global Reservations or use the app to add the number while you still can. Points for this promotion are described as posting after the stay, so a no-show or a cancelled night will not mint the 2,500-point credit.
Preferred also ran a separate Last Minute Escapes sale earlier this cycle, covered on Deep Arrival as a 35 percent book-by August 3 offer. That deadline is already past. Do not mix the two promotions. Today’s job is only the 2,500-point newest-additions bonus with a September 30 book-by date.
When the Bonus Is Not Worth the Rate
Skip the promo if the participating hotel is not your trip. A 2,500-point bonus does not justify a Kenya safari or a Venice island transfer you were not going to take. Use it when you already planned Bali, Lisbon, Antwerp, Killarney, or Venice this fall and the official rate is close to the alternative.
Skip it if the hotel is not open yet. The Botany’s winter debut and Wynn Al Marjan Island’s later launch are the two clearest traps on the Q2 list. If the offer page does not return a live December rate, there is no stay to complete by December 31.
Skip it if you need a flexible cancellation window and the qualifying rate is prepaid. A completed stay is required for the points. A refundable official rate that you can still cancel in October is safer than a prepaid package that exists only to chase $12 of estimated point value.
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Already planned a stay at a listed new hotel this fall | Book today on iprefer.com or PreferredHotels.com with your member number. |
| Are not an I Prefer member | Enroll free, then book on the official path before the September 30, 2026 cutoff. |
| Only want the 2,500 points | Compare the official rate to a non-qualifying option. Walk away if the cash gap is larger than the bonus. |
| Need a hotel that is not yet open | Do not force The Botany or Wynn Al Marjan Island into a 2026 stay window. |
September 30, 2026 is the book-by date still on the offer page. Make the reservation today on an official channel with your I Prefer number.
December 31, 2026 is the last night in the stay window. The stay can be later this year. The booking cannot be later than today.
Completed stay is the credit trigger. Frequent Miler says bonus points post after the qualified stay, not at booking.
