Dreams Vista Cancun Is Now Adults-Only Hyatt Vivid

A familiar Cancun resort has a new name and a much more important new rule. Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort became Hyatt Vivid Cancun on August 14, shifting from the family-oriented Dreams brand to an adults-only, all-inclusive resort for guests 18 and older.

The building did not suddenly move or reopen somewhere else. It is the same oceanfront high-rise near Puerto Cancun, but the brand promise and eligible guest are different. That makes this more than a sign change for travelers holding an old Dreams reservation, planning a wedding group, or comparing Cancun resorts for a trip with children.

Dreams Vista Cancun is now Hyatt Vivid Cancun

Hyatt’s live Hyatt Vivid Cancun resort page identifies the property by its new brand and describes it as an adults-only escape. Hyatt Vivid is a newer all-inclusive brand built around a more relaxed social atmosphere than a traditional luxury resort, with food, drinks, entertainment, and activities folded into the stay.

The transition became effective August 14. Independent hotel coverage from Upgraded Points and Travel Market Report also places the rebrand on that date and confirms that the former Dreams Vista resort is now operating under the Hyatt Vivid name.

That history matters when searching. Older confirmations, map listings, transportation vouchers, and third-party reviews may still say Dreams Vista Cancun. The address and physical resort can match even when the brand name does not, so travelers should compare the address and reservation number before assuming they have two different hotels.

The adults-only rule is the traveler decision

The biggest change is eligibility. Hyatt Vivid Cancun is presented as an adults-only property, and major vacation sellers describe the minimum guest age as 18.
