Salone Nautico Access Changes Through October 9

Corso Italia sea promenade in Genoa, the resume path for AMT 31 and 607 during Salone Nautico road closures

The 66th Salone Nautico runs 1 to 6 October 2026 at Genoa’s Waterfront di Levante. Genova24, citing the city traffic order, says the seaward lanes of Corso Marconi toward levante close from 6 a.m. on Monday 28 September through 11:59 p.m. on Friday 9 October, except for authorized vehicles. The centerbound carriageway stays open.

If you are going to the boat show, or staying in Foce, treat Corso Marconi as a one-way problem toward the east and use Corso Italia, the AMT 31 and 607 detours, or Metro plus a walk. For a Genoa stay that is not only the show, Deep Arrival’s Genoa eating and two-day route guide still maps the rest of the city once you are off the Foce waterfront.

Show Dates and the Corso Marconi Closure

Genova24 reports the 66th edition occupies the Waterfront di Levante from Wednesday 1 October through Tuesday 6 October. The traffic order starts earlier, at 6 a.m. on Monday 28 September, so setup days already take the seaward levante lanes of Corso Marconi between the 9/11/1989 roundabout and Via Casaregis. Authorized site vehicles keep access to Piazzale M.L. King and Piazzale Cavalieri Vittorio Veneto through two Corso Marconi gates.

Westbound, toward the center, the street remains usable. That is the useful split: you can still drive toward Principe and the old port. You cannot use the seaward eastbound lanes as a shortcut to Albaro or the show gates. The cycle track on the seaward side of Corso Marconi is suppressed for the same window. Do not plan a bike commute on that strip through 9 October.

The order also bans parking with removal on the closed seaward levante stretch, on Piazzale Kennedy, and on Via dei Pescatori between the new Waterfront roundabout and the western port gate. If your hotel or rental car is in that pocket, move it before 6 a.m. on 28 September or expect a tow.

AMT Lines 31 and 607 Eastbound Detours

AMT’s 27 September notice matches the road order. From Monday 28 September through Tuesday 9 October, lines 31 and 607 change only in the levante direction. Westbound, toward the center, both lines keep their regular path.

Line 31 eastbound, at the end of Viale Brigate Partigiane, uses the Corso Marconi roundabout, turns back, then continues on Viale Brigate Partigiane, Via Diaz, Via Barabino, Galleria Mameli, Via Piave, and Corso Italia, where it resumes. Line 607 eastbound leaves Corso Torino, turns onto Via Barabino, then Galleria Mameli, Via Piave, and Corso Italia. Both therefore dump you onto Corso Italia instead of the closed seaward Marconi lanes.

That is a walk or a second bus if your ticket is for a Marconi flag on the sea side. Stand on Corso Italia or at the roundabout, not on the closed carriageway. AMT did not cancel 31 or 607. It moved the eastbound path around the show setup.

Parking, Blue Area, and Show-Day Streets

From 6 a.m. on 1 October through 11:59 p.m. on 6 October, Genova24 says the city adds Blue Area bays on the seaward sides of Corso Aurelio Saffi and Corso Quadrio where the geometry allows, at a flat 12 euros a day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a stop-and-tow ban outside those hours. A 30 km/h limit applies on seaward Corso Quadrio from Via delle Casaccie and on Corso Saffi to Via Brigata di Fanteria.

Foce residents with a Blue Area permit get that permit honored across the wider Blue Area for the show period. Paid “isole azzurre” bays return for the event at the usual hourly rate plus the same 12 euro day rate. Local police can add measures on the day. Do not treat a screenshot of last year’s map as current.

During the show, a taxi stand is reserved on the west side of Piazza Rossetti, and a bus and shuttle stop is reserved on the west side of Viale Brigate Partigiane toward the sea. Taxis and NCC cars may use the pedestrian stretches of Piazza Caricamento and Piazza Raibetta at walking speed. That is a last-mile option from the old port, not a reason to drive Corso Marconi eastbound.

Saturday 3 October Meets the AMT Walkout

Saturday 3 October sits inside the show. It is also AMT’s 24-hour CUB Trasporti walkout. Deep Arrival already has that strike live at Genoa AMT’s October 3 walkout. The Marconi detour does not replace that post. On Saturday, use the strike’s guaranteed urban bands for whether 31 and 607 run at all, then use this detour for where they go if they run.

A separate night overlay on Via Balbi reroutes west-side lines including Volabus through 3 October. That is the Principe side of town. It does not move 31 or 607. Keep the two maps apart: Foce and Corso Italia for the boat show, Piazza Acquaverde for a late west-side bus.

Getting to Waterfront di Levante Without Driving East on Marconi

Walk or ride to Corso Italia, then continue on foot along the promenade toward the Waterfront gates. That is the path AMT already uses for the eastbound 31 and 607 resume point. Metro to Brignole plus a walk or a westbound 31/607 (those still use the regular streets) is cleaner than circling the 9/11/1989 roundabout in a car.

If you must drive, approach from the west so you stay on the open centerbound carriageway, or park in the 12 euro Blue Area on Saffi or Quadrio and walk. Do not wait in the seaward levante lanes of Corso Marconi for a drop-off. The order allows only authorized site vehicles there through 9 October.

After 11:59 p.m. on 9 October the Marconi closure and the 31/607 detour end unless AMT or the city posts a new date. The show itself ends 6 October, so 7 to 9 October is teardown with the same road and bus pattern. Check AMT once more on the morning of 10 October before you assume Marconi is two-way again.

Decision Matrix
If you… What to do
Visit the show 1 to 6 October Use Corso Italia, Brignole, or westbound 31/607. Do not drive the seaward levante lanes of Corso Marconi.
Ride line 31 or 607 eastbound through 9 October Expect the Barabino, Galleria Mameli, Via Piave, Corso Italia path. Westbound is unchanged.
Need a car near Foce during the show Use the 12 euro day Blue Area on Corso Saffi or Corso Quadrio, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Go on Saturday 3 October Check the live AMT walkout post for whether buses run, then this detour for the eastbound path.
Stay after the show through 9 October The Marconi closure and bus detour continue through teardown. They lift after 11:59 p.m. on 9 October unless a new notice says otherwise.
Planning Impact

6 a.m. on 28 September is the road gate. Seaward Corso Marconi toward levante closes through 11:59 p.m. on 9 October. Move a car off that stretch before the gate.

1 to 6 October is the show gate. Extra Blue Area, taxi, and shuttle rules apply only in that window, on top of the longer Marconi closure.

Saturday 3 October is the walkout gate. Use the live AMT strike URL for daytime bus bands, then this page for the 31/607 eastbound streets if those lines run.
