Walt Disney World’s posted dining hours for EPCOT on September 29, 2026, keep several of the park’s most booked lunch tables closed until noon or later, even while Early Entry and rope drop put guests on the pavement hours earlier. Official restaurant pages confirm Tutto Italia Ristorante starts lunch at 12:30 p.m., while Le Cellier Steakhouse, Biergarten Restaurant, Chefs de France, and Nine Dragons Restaurant list noon lunch starts.
That gap is the planning problem. A family that used Early Entry can ride, walk World Showcase, and still find the table they reserved sitting dark at 11 a.m. Check the posted hours before you lock an itinerary, and use the Walt Disney World dining reservations guide to match seat times to the window Disney is actually serving.
- What changed: Disney’s live restaurant pages, read September 29, 2026, list noon or later lunch starts for several EPCOT table-service halls.
- Latest lunch start: Tutto Italia Ristorante, Italy Pavilion, lunch 12:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.
- Noon group: Le Cellier, Biergarten, Chefs de France, and Nine Dragons currently open lunch at 12:00 p.m.
- Earlier tables: San Angel Inn and Space 220 start lunch at 11:30 a.m.; Katsura Grill opens at 11:30 a.m.; Regal Eagle Smokehouse opens at 11:45 a.m.
- Park access: A dining reservation does not admit you. Valid park admission is required, and a park reservation may still apply by ticket type.
Posted Lunch Hours Across World Showcase
Disney’s own dining listings are the record. Tutto Italia in the Italy Pavilion currently serves lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m., then dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. That 12:30 p.m. start is the latest lunch open among the table-service rooms checked on September 29.
Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion lists lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Biergarten matches the noon lunch start, then dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Chefs de France lists lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Nine Dragons lists lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 2:55 p.m., with dinner beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Inside the Magic reported the same pattern on September 28, 2026: several popular EPCOT rooms do not begin lunch at 11 a.m., and a World Showcase cluster waits until noon or 12:30 p.m. Hours can change without notice, so the official page for the exact restaurant on the exact date is the check that matters.
Earlier Tables Still Miss an 11 a.m. Lunch
Not every hall waits until noon. San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico Pavilion currently lists lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. Space 220 Restaurant in World Discovery lists lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Space 220 also notes that dining plan meals are not accepted, so a credit-plan guest cannot treat that 11:30 a.m. slot as a plan redemption.
Quick service is not automatically earlier. Katsura Grill currently posts hours from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Regal Eagle Smokehouse posts 11:45 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mobile order can cut the line once the kitchen is open; it does not open the kitchen early. If the plan is a sit-down meal before noon, the current posted list does not support it at the noon group named above.
Early Entry Leaves a Long Gap Before Kitchens Open
Disney resort hotel guests can use Early Theme Park Entry, which typically opens EPCOT 30 minutes before the published park time. Regular rope drop follows. Either way, a guest can be inside and on rides well before 11 a.m. The restaurants do not move with that morning clock, so an 11 a.m. reservation fails if the posted lunch start is noon.
Build the morning around attractions first, then eat. A ride such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a better use of the first two hours than a walk to a closed dining room. World Showcase is a long loop, so arrive near the posted start rather than 45 minutes early.
Reservations Still Need Park Tickets and a Live Recheck
Disney’s restaurant pages repeat the same access rule: valid admission is required, and a theme park reservation may be required based on admission type. A confirmed dining reservation is highly recommended for table service and does not guarantee park entry. Park Hopper availability can change daily. Hold the park ticket plan, including Walt Disney World ticket types and prices, before you treat a lunch time as locked.
Cancellation and modification policies apply. The card on file can be charged a per-person fee for a no-show or a late cancel. If a posted lunch start moves after you booked, modify inside the policy window rather than arriving at 11 a.m. to find the room still closed.
Space 220 remains one of the harder EPCOT reservations, which is why our earlier note on Space 220 Lounge demand still matters for anyone chasing the 11:30 a.m. lunch window. Book the time Disney is serving, then recheck the restaurant page the morning of the meal.
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Have an 11 a.m. table at Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, Biergarten, Chefs de France, or Nine Dragons | Modify to 12:30 p.m. or later for Tutto Italia, or noon or later for the others, using the hours posted on September 29, 2026. |
| Need food before 11:30 a.m. | Eat at a counter that is already open, or bring a snack through bag check. Do not count on World Showcase table service. |
| Want an earlier sit-down lunch | Target San Angel Inn or Space 220 at 11:30 a.m., then confirm the live Disney page the same morning. |
| Are on a dining plan and eyeing Space 220 | The restaurant currently does not accept dining plan meals. Budget cash or a Disney gift card instead. |
September 29, 2026, is the live hours check. Use Disney’s restaurant pages as of this date, not a printed touring plan or a screenshot from last month.
Noon is the cluster start for several World Showcase halls. Do not schedule an 11 a.m. sit-down at Le Cellier, Biergarten, Chefs de France, or Nine Dragons while those pages still list 12:00 p.m.
12:30 p.m. is Tutto Italia’s lunch start. A noon reservation there is still early on the current posting.
The morning of the meal is the last recheck. Disney says hours can change without notice. Open the exact restaurant page before you walk.
Hours Are Current Postings, Not a Permanent Rule
These times are what Disney displayed on September 29, 2026. They are not a new park-wide policy, and they are not a guarantee for October. Festivals, party days, and kitchen staffing can move a lunch start by 30 minutes either way. Inside the Magic flagged the 11 a.m. assumption as a trap; the load-bearing numbers come from Disney’s restaurant listings.
If you are building a September or early October EPCOT day, treat lunch as a timed event with a posted open. Ride first, eat when the kitchen is serving, and keep a quick-service backup in the same pavilion in case the table slips.
What time does EPCOT lunch start in September 2026?
It depends on the restaurant. On September 29, 2026, several World Showcase table-service rooms start lunch at noon, and Tutto Italia starts at 12:30 p.m. San Angel Inn and Space 220 start at 11:30 a.m.
Does Tutto Italia open for lunch at 11 a.m.?
No. Disney’s Tutto Italia page currently lists lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m., then dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
When does Le Cellier start lunch at EPCOT?
Le Cellier Steakhouse currently lists lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Recheck the Disney page on the morning of your reservation.
Is Katsura Grill open before noon?
Katsura Grill currently posts hours from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It is quick service, not an 11 a.m. default.
Does a dining reservation get you into EPCOT?
No. Disney says valid admission is required and a park reservation may still be required by ticket type. A dining reservation does not guarantee park access.
Can I use a Disney Dining Plan at Space 220 lunch?
Not on the current listing. Space 220’s page states dining plan meals are not accepted, with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
