Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Access Starts Sept. 25 at EPCOT

Walt Disney World said Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is available at EPCOT from Friday, Sept. 25, through Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, while supplies last. The Halloween scavenger hunt is part of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Guests buy a game board and stickers for $11.99 plus tax, search the park for decorative pumpkins inspired by Disney characters, and redeem a spooky festival keepsake even if they do not find every pumpkin.

If you are already in EPCOT this weekend, the first decision is whether to spend about $12 on a board before stock runs out, then how that hunt fits a Food & Wine day that also needs a valid ticket. Start with Deep Arrival’s EPCOT tickets guide if you still need park admission, because the hunt is not a substitute for a ticket and a reservation may still be required based on your pass type.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Runs Sept. 25 to Nov. 2

Disney’s official page dates the hunt as a limited Halloween overlay inside Food & Wine, not as a parkwide Halloween party. WDW News Today reported in August that the 2026 window is shorter than Remy’s companion hunt and that maps and prizes are sold while supplies last. That matches the official “while supplies last” language, so treat Nov. 2 as the last listed redemption date, not a guarantee that boards will still be on the shelf that Monday.

The festival itself is already open. WDWNT listed Food & Wine from Aug. 27 through Nov. 21, 2026, which is also the chronology in Deep Arrival’s 2026 Food & Wine dates report. Pluto’s hunt starts 29 days into that festival and ends 19 days before the festival’s listed close, so a mid-November Food & Wine trip does not include this pumpkin overlay.

Disney said the event is subject to cancellation or change without notice, including dates and prices. If a tropical storm or park-hour cut lands on your day, assume the hunt follows park operations rather than running as a rain check.

Game Boards Cost $11.99 at These EPCOT Shops

Official sale locations are Creations Shop, Disney Traders, festival merchandise kiosks, Gateway Gifts, and World Traveler at International Gateway. Those five names matter because a kiosk can sell out while a store still has boards. If you enter through International Gateway from a Skyliner hotel, World Traveler is the first stop. If you enter through the main gate, Creations Shop is the closest named shop after bag check.

Disney asked guests to inquire about applicable discounts at purchase. It did not publish an Annual Pass or Disney Vacation Club percentage on the hunt page, so do not count on a discount until the register shows it. Tax is extra on the $11.99 board. Five boards at list price is about $60 before tax, which is the official per-guest cap.

Pay with the same card you use for the rest of the festival day so a later merchandise return is simpler if a board is defective. Keep the receipt in the same pocket as the board. Redemption shops will want the physical board, not a photo of the receipt.

Hunt Rules, Limits, and Keepsake Redemption

The loop is simple. Buy the board and stickers, find Disney-themed pumpkins around the festival, add the matching sticker after each find, then take the board to Creations Shop, Disney Traders, Gateway Gifts, or World Traveler. Disney said you still receive a keepsake if you do not find every pumpkin. That rule is the difference between a completionist chore and a 45-minute family loop between kitchens.

The 2026 prize is described only as a “spooky festival keepsake.” WDWNT noted that Disney had not revealed this year’s prize when dates were announced, and that prior Pluto hunts used miniature jack-o’-lantern candy buckets and mini cornhole boards. Do not plan around a specific 2026 item until you see it at the redemption counter.

One keepsake per board is the cap. Buying five boards for five keepsakes is allowed. Sharing one board across a family still yields one prize. Game boards remain valid for redemption through Nov. 2, 2026, or while supplies last, so a board bought on Sept. 25 can be redeemed on a later EPCOT day inside that window.

Remy’s Hide and Squeak Still Runs the Full Festival

WDWNT reported that Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak runs the full Food & Wine window, Aug. 27 through Nov. 21, at the same $11.99 plus tax map price. Official Pluto copy does not replace Remy. If you already did Remy in August or early September, Pluto is the new overlay starting Friday. If you have only one hunt budget, Pluto is the time-limited one.

Remy maps, per WDWNT, sell at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, World Traveler, and select festival merchandise locations, which overlaps Pluto’s list. Ask the cashier which board you are holding before you leave the shop. Mixing sticker sheets is the fastest way to void a redemption.

Neither hunt includes food. Festival kitchens, dining reservations, and Eat to the Beat packages are separate purchases. Use Deep Arrival’s Walt Disney World dining guide if a pumpkin loop has to share the day with a table at a festival booth or a seated restaurant.

Park Tickets and Reservations You Need First

Disney’s hunt page is explicit: valid admission is required, and a theme park reservation may be required based on admission type. Date-based tickets, some passes, and special-event tickets still follow the reservation rules on your account. The hunt does not add after-hours entry and does not admit you to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

If you are hopping, confirm EPCOT is on the ticket for the calendar day you want the pumpkins. A Magic Kingdom Halloween Party night is a different park and a different ticket. Park Hopper guests can hunt in the afternoon and party at Magic Kingdom later only if both tickets and transportation line up. Deep Arrival’s Walt Disney World tickets guide covers hopper versus one-park choices before you add a $12 overlay.

Stroller and wheelchair parties can still do the hunt. The board is paper, not an app. Designate one person to carry it. Rain will wreck stickers faster than it wrecks a festival kitchen line, so a zip bag from Creations Shop is cheap insurance.

Supplies-Last Planning for Halloween Week

The highest sell-out risk is the first weekend, Sept. 25 to 27, and the weekends around Halloween. Disney’s “while supplies last” clause is the real deadline if boards disappear before Nov. 2. Buy on the way in, not on the way out. Redemption shops can still take a completed board after kiosks stop selling new ones, until the listed Nov. 2 date or until keepsakes are gone.

If your only EPCOT day is after Nov. 2, skip Pluto and use Remy or Emile’s Fromage Montage instead. If your only day is Friday, Sept. 25, treat the hunt as a morning errand before World Showcase kitchens peak. Do not wait for a posted 2026 prize photo. The official offer is the board, the stickers, and a keepsake, not a specific toy.

Disney said to ask about discounts at purchase and that experiences can change. Recheck the official Pluto page the morning you go, especially if a weather warning is up for Central Florida. A park that opens late still hosts the hunt only if the shops that sell and redeem boards are open.

Decision Matrix
If you… What to do
Visit EPCOT on or after Friday, Sept. 25, and before Nov. 2 Buy a board at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, a festival kiosk, Gateway Gifts, or World Traveler on the way in.
Already completed Remy’s hunt this festival Buy Pluto instead. Remy runs through Nov. 21; Pluto is the shorter Halloween window.
Need more than one keepsake Buy up to five boards per guest. Each board redeems one prize, even if unfinished.
Visit EPCOT after Nov. 2 Do not plan on Pluto. Use Remy or other festival extras still inside the Food & Wine dates.
Planning Impact

Friday, Sept. 25, is the first sale and hunt day. Buy the board at park entry if you want it; do not wait until evening kiosks look empty.

Monday, Nov. 2, is the last listed redemption date. A board bought earlier can be turned in that day if keepsakes remain.

Five boards per guest is the hard purchase cap. That is the most keepsakes one admission can legally stack.
