Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa, a 478 room family resort in Corralejo on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura, opens on 1 November 2026, a month earlier than first planned. Hoteles Elba lists the new date on its official resort page, and notes that the adults only pool and bar open a month later, on 1 December.
For families booking late autumn or winter sun, that split matters: the children’s water park and main pools are there from day one, while couples wanting the adults only area should aim for December or later.

Opening Date and the December Split
The resort was first due to open on 1 December, but Hoteles Elba brought the opening forward to 1 November, according to hotel trade site La Revue des Hôtels. The official page now shows the November date.
The adults only pool, for guests aged 16 and over, and The Bow, an adults only restaurant and pool bar, are listed for 1 December 2026. Guests arriving in November should expect the family areas to be the focus.
Canary Islands news site Canarian Weekly reported on 26 September that recruitment is under way across reception, kitchens, entertainment and wellness ahead of the opening.
Rooms and Suites
The official page lists family double rooms from 25 square metres, family junior suites with a private pool at 41 square metres, and superior family doubles at 56 square metres.
La Revue des Hôtels reports 15 junior suites with private pools and 52 swim up rooms among the 478. Local news site Fuerteventura Digital put the total at 956 beds.

Pools, Water Park and Spa
Families are the main market. La Revue des Hôtels describes Pepe’s Aqua Land as a children’s water area covering more than 4,000 square metres, with a kids’ club for ages 4 to 12.
Pool counts differ between reports: La Revue des Hôtels lists 24 heated pools, including six river style pools, while Canarian Weekly describes 20 outdoor and river style pools. Either way, pools are the resort’s centrepiece.
The spa includes a hydrothermal pool, hammam, sauna and jacuzzi for guests aged 16 and over, according to La Revue des Hôtels. The official page lists spa access as a paid extra. The resort also has four restaurants and four bars.
Prices and Booking
Bookings are open through the Hoteles Elba website. In August, Fuerteventura Digital reported one week stays for two people priced between €1,200 and €1,600, a guide that will vary by date and board.
Opening months often come with introductory rates, so compare the November and December prices on the booking page, keeping in mind that the adults only areas are not open until December.
Location and Local Debate
The resort sits about 1.5 kilometres from Corralejo beach, the official page says, and about 2 kilometres from the Corralejo dunes natural park, according to La Revue des Hôtels.

The project has drawn criticism locally. Fuerteventura Digital reported that critics raised housing, water supply, sanitation and infrastructure concerns, and that environmental group AGONANE called for construction to stop. The site notes that the hotel is on urban zoned land, not inside the natural park.
La Revue des Hôtels puts the investment at about €100 million, including €28.1 million in Spanish state funding.
Corralejo is popular with British and Irish holidaymakers in winter, Canarian Weekly notes, and a new resort of this size adds a large block of family rooms to the town for the winter season.
