Djurs Sommerland Halloween 2026: After Dark to 9pm and What Tickets Cost

Djurs Sommerland in Denmark reopens for Magisk Halloween from 10 to 18 October 2026, and on eight of those nine days it stays open until 9pm. The park’s opening hours page lists Magisk Halloween from 10am to 6pm, with After Dark running from 6pm to 9pm from 10 to 17 October.

The dates cover Denmark’s autumn school break, so expect families from across the country. Our Djurs Sommerland guide covers the park map and ride line up if you are planning a day on Djursland around the Halloween opening.

At a Glance
  • Magisk Halloween: 10 to 18 October 2026, 10am to 6pm.
  • After Dark: 10 to 17 October, open until 9pm.
  • Haunted houses: GræskarFabrikken and HekseSkolen.
  • Tickets: day tickets from 350 kroner; under 3s free.
  • Season pass: Halloween entry included.

Nine Days Over the Autumn Break

The park’s Magisk Halloween page promises 40,000 pumpkins across the grounds, with skeletons, witches and spiders added to the usual theming. The gogo guide says the decorations cover the whole park rather than a single Halloween area, so you meet the theming wherever you ride.

The last day, Sunday 18 October, has no After Dark session, so the park closes at 6pm that day. If the evening atmosphere is the reason for your visit, choose a date between 10 and 17 October.

Two Haunted Houses and Their Age Rules

GræskarFabrikken is the scarier of the two haunted houses. The park sets a minimum age of 8 for children, and the event guide from gogo adds that 8 and 9 year olds must go in with an adult. HekseSkolen is the family option, and children under 8 may only enter with an adult.

Neither house is listed on the park’s Halloween page as an extra charge, so the age rules, not the price, are what decide which one suits your group. If you have children on either side of the age line, plan to split up, with one adult taking the older children through GræskarFabrikken.

Decision Matrix
If you have… Plan this
Children under 8 HekseSkolen with an adult; skip GræskarFabrikken.
Children aged 8 or 9 GræskarFabrikken only with an adult.
Older children or teens An After Dark date for the evening rides.
A season pass Entry is included; pick any date.
Only a daytime slot 18 October, the one day with no After Dark.

After Dark and the Fireworks

After Dark extends the day to 9pm, and gogo reports that it is included in the normal day ticket, so you can arrive in the morning and stay until 9pm without paying more. The same guide lists fireworks at 8:45pm on 10, 11 and 17 October. If the fireworks matter to your group, book one of those three dates; on the other After Dark evenings the park simply stays open later without a fireworks finale listed.

What Tickets Cost

The park’s prices page lists a one day ticket for ages 3 to 64 at 375 kroner, marked down to 350 kroner, with children under 3 free. Seniors aged 65 and over pay from 325 kroner, but those tickets can only be bought at the park. A two day ticket costs 525 kroner and a season pass 899 kroner.

According to gogo, the day ticket costs 375 kroner on the After Dark dates and 350 kroner on 18 October. Season pass holders get into Magisk Halloween at no extra cost.

Getting to Djursland

Djurs Sommerland is on the Djursland peninsula in eastern Jutland, northeast of Aarhus, and most visitors arrive by car. With the park open until 9pm on After Dark nights, and fireworks at 8:45pm on three of them, plan the drive back to your accommodation before you go, especially with tired children in the back seat.

Mid October evenings in Denmark are cool and dark by the time After Dark starts, so pack warm layers if you plan to stay for the fireworks. If you are combining the park with other stops on Djursland during the autumn break, book accommodation early, because the Halloween dates fall in the same week that many Danish families take their holiday.
