Disneyland officials confirmed to Mickey Visit that the annual Lost and Found sale of unclaimed park items will not return in 2026. The one-day blowout at Goodwill of Orange County’s Santa Ana marketplace, where shoppers hunted discounted ears, plush, and overstock, is off the calendar. The same unclaimed goods are instead supposed to show up across Orange County Goodwill stores through the year.
If you were planning a September or fall trip around that sale, drop it from the itinerary. Keep the park day, use Deep Arrival’s Disneyland versus California Adventure comparison to pick a park, and treat thrift hunting as a separate errand at local Goodwill shops rather than a dated event.
- What changed: Disneyland officials told Mickey Visit the annual Lost and Found sale will not return in 2026.
- Where items go: Unclaimed lost-and-found and overstock goods are to appear at 25 Orange County Goodwill stores year-round.
- Old location: Goodwill of Orange County Marketplace, Santa Ana, about 15 minutes from the resort.
- If you lost something: Report it through official Lost and Found and Chargerback first. Do not assume it is already on a thrift rack.
- If you shop: There is no 2026 sale date to circle. Browse Goodwill OC stores instead.
Annual Sale Will Not Return in 2026
For years, Disneyland partnered with Goodwill of Orange County on a single-day sale of unclaimed lost-and-found items and excess merchandise. Mickey Visit reports the event was hosted at the Goodwill of Orange County Marketplace in Santa Ana, about 15 minutes from the resort. Shoppers found used park goods and tagged overstock at steep discounts, sometimes as much as 90 percent off retail, including hats, headbands, sunglasses, plush dolls, souvenir sipper cups, autograph books, and bubble wands.
Proceeds supported Goodwill. Mickey Visit says millions of dollars were raised over the past decade. Cast members historically got an early window before the public, which is why the sale felt like both a staff perk and a local treasure hunt. That whole format is what Disneyland officials said is not coming back in 2026.
This is not a park closure and not a change to ticket prices. It is a shopping-access change for people who treated the sale as an annual reason to be in Santa Ana on a specific Saturday. There is no replacement date on the Disneyland calendar in the reporting reviewed here.
Year-Round Access Moves to Orange County Goodwill Stores
Mickey Visit says Disney and Goodwill are changing how the same lost-and-found items are distributed. Instead of one concentrated event, shoppers can now look for a larger supply of those items at the 25 Goodwill retail locations throughout Orange County year-round. That is the replacement access, not a new Disneyland-run outlet.
The Orange County Register, in a September 16, 2026 roundup, independently confirmed that Goodwill of Orange County now operates 25 stores and boutiques, including the Goodwill OC Marketplace in Santa Ana, which sells surplus items by the pound. A new store and donation center in Foothill Ranch opened in November 2025. Those 25 doors are the map Mickey Visit is pointing shoppers toward.
Goodwill of Orange County’s own partnership page still describes Disneyland Resort donating unclaimed lost-and-found items each year, with 100 percent of the revenue from those sales going into workforce development programs. That page, dated July 30, 2025, does not itself announce the 2026 sale cancellation. It does confirm the donation pipeline that Mickey Visit says will now feed stores all year instead of one marketplace morning.
Mickey Visit also notes Disneyland’s work with the Goodwill Tierney Center for Veteran Services and the Mickey’s Attic program, which donates resort merchandise and company assets for resale in Goodwill stores. Those programs are not the same as the lost-and-found sale, and they are not a substitute date. They are why Disney goods already appear on Goodwill shelves even in years when the big sale happens.
Lost Items Still Go Through Official Lost and Found First
If you lost something at the resort, the sale change does not shorten the time you have to claim it. Disneyland’s official Lost and Found page still tells guests to report items through Chargerback, the online system the resort uses to track lost property and some unclaimed Next-Day Package Delivery merchandise. After you file, Chargerback emails a report number and periodic search updates.
The Lost and Found facility for the entire Disneyland Resort is located to the left of the Main Entrance to Disneyland Park. That is the recovery desk, not a shop. Disney California Adventure lost items route to the same resort facility. Do not skip the report and go straight to a Goodwill store. Unclaimed goods reach resale only after the park’s hold process, and the official page does not publish a public countdown to donation.
File the report even after you have left Anaheim. The official page is built for that. If the item is a wallet, phone, keys, or prescription glasses, the report is the only path that can still reunite you with it. A year-round thrift hunt is for goods nobody claimed, not for last week’s sunglasses you still want back.
What Shoppers Should Change for 2026
Do not book a hotel night solely to stand in a Santa Ana line at dawn. That tactic belonged to the old sale, when public entry often followed a cast-member window around 11 a.m. There is no 2026 time to queue. If you still want discounted Disney goods, visit Goodwill OC stores on ordinary shopping days and treat the Marketplace as one of 25 doors, not as a once-a-year arena.
Do not expect a published inventory. Mickey Visit says it will pass along more detail as it gets it. Until Goodwill or Disneyland names which stores receive lost-and-found lots, and on what cadence, the honest plan is to browse widely and assume stock is mixed with ordinary donations. The Register’s note that the Santa Ana Marketplace sells surplus by the pound is a clue that the bulk location may still see overflow, not a promise that the old sale bins will reappear there every Saturday.
Park tickets, Lightning Lane, and Halloween Time plans are unchanged by this announcement. Shoppers who also hold tickets can still split a day: park in the morning, Goodwill in the evening, or the reverse. The sale is no longer the reason to pick a specific weekend.
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Planned a 2026 trip around the Lost and Found sale | Cancel that date. Disneyland officials said the annual sale is not returning this year. |
| Want discounted unclaimed Disney goods | Browse Goodwill of Orange County’s 25 stores year-round, including the Santa Ana Marketplace. |
| Lost an item at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure | File a Chargerback report and visit Lost and Found left of Disneyland Park’s Main Entrance. Do not start at Goodwill. |
| Are a Cast Member who used the early sale window | That early access was part of the discontinued event. There is no 2026 replacement time in the current reporting. |
2026 is the year without a Lost and Found sale date. Do not hold a Saturday in Santa Ana for it. Disneyland officials confirmed the annual event is not returning.
Year-round Goodwill OC stores are the replacement access. The Register counts 25 locations, including the Santa Ana Marketplace. Shop those doors instead of waiting for an announcement that may not come.
Official Lost and Found remains the first stop for owners. Report through Chargerback. Resale is only for items nobody claimed.
Is the Disneyland Lost and Found sale happening in 2026?
No. Disneyland officials confirmed to Mickey Visit that the annual sale will not return in 2026. There is no replacement date in the current reporting.
Where can I buy unclaimed Disneyland lost and found items now?
Mickey Visit says shoppers can look for those items at 25 Goodwill retail locations throughout Orange County year-round. The Orange County Register confirms Goodwill OC operates 25 stores, including the Santa Ana Marketplace.
How do I get an item I lost at Disneyland?
Use the official Lost and Found process. File a Chargerback report on Disneyland’s guest-services page. The resort facility is to the left of the Main Entrance to Disneyland Park. Do not assume the item is already at Goodwill.
Did Goodwill of Orange County end the partnership?
Not in the reporting reviewed here. Goodwill OC still describes annual Disneyland lost-and-found donations. The change is the one-day sale format, not the donation relationship.
