Walt Disney World published its 2026 park Halloween foodie guide on September 24, and the window is already in motion. The Disney Parks Blog listing runs seasonal sweets through October 31, with Magic Kingdom daytime items on sale during regular park hours now and a second wave dated October 1 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
WDW News Today confirmed the same split the same day: several new items are for daytime guests, not only Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The traveler decision is which park day to spend before October 1, and whether a table at The Plaza Restaurant is worth locking on Walt Disney World dining reservations before the October 1 counters open.
- Window: Seasonal Halloween treats run through October 31, 2026.
- On sale now: Magic Kingdom daytime items during regular park hours.
- October 1: Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom add new counters, including Maleficent Funnel Cake and Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae.
- Party overlay: Some Magic Kingdom locations stay open later on party nights; a few items stay daytime only.
- Action: Match the park ticket day to the start date, then check mobile order and reservations the morning of the visit.
Magic Kingdom Daytime Treats Are Already Selling
The September 24 guide groups Magic Kingdom under daytime Halloween treats tagged for regular park hours. A standard Magic Kingdom ticket is enough. That split matters in late September, when Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom have not started their October 1 lists.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A. is selling a Pumpkin Sundae and stays open until 11 p.m. on party nights. The Plaza Restaurant, which recommends reservations, added a Devilish Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Skull Meatloaf, Phantom Pecan-Caramel Cheesecake, and the Goblins and Ghoulies rum cocktail.
Cheshire Cafe lists a Queen of Hearts Tart for regular hours only. Columbia Harbor House’s S’mores Cup is also daytime only. Liberty Square Market sells a color-changing Magic Potion Slushy, and Aloha Isle has a DOLE Whip Mango and Chamoy Float. Main Street Confectionery still carries the Large Mickey Spiderweb Cookie. Plan those walks around the Walt Disney World Railroad closure that starts September 28.
Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Wait Until October 1
Hollywood Studios items in this guide are dated. Epic Eats at Echo Lake starts the Maleficent Funnel Cake on October 1. ABC Commissary and Backlot Express start the Ghost Cream Puff the same day. Woody’s Lunch Box lists a Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart without a separate start date, so confirm it in My Disney Experience before moving a Studios day around it.
Animal Kingdom is an October 1 to 31 block. Terra Treats on Discovery Island adds the Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae and a Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich. Flame Tree Barbecue adds a Candy Corn Pop. Nearby coffee windows add a Mummy Twist, Pumpkin Cheese Danish, and Apple Cider Muffin.
October 1 is the hopper date. Do Magic Kingdom now if the sundae is the goal, then Animal Kingdom after October 1. One park day after October 1 should match the park whose new item is the actual target, because the lists do not overlap.
Party Nights Change Service Windows, Not the Daytime List
Disney’s own cards separate three availability tags: regular park hours, regular hours plus party nights, and regular hours only. The Pumpkin Sundae, Lunching Pad slushy, Plaza Restaurant plates, and Aloha Isle float are written as regular hours and party nights. The Queen of Hearts Tart and the S’mores Cup are written as regular hours only. Liberty Square Market stays open until 8:30 p.m. on party nights. None of those tags convert a daytime snack into a party exclusive.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party still has its own foodie guide, published earlier, for items sold only after the separate ticket. WDW News Today stressed that the September 24 park list is for daytime guests. Do not buy a party ticket to chase the Maleficent Funnel Cake or the Boneyard sundae. Those sit on standard park tickets after October 1. Use Walt Disney World tickets to match a regular park day to the start date instead of assuming the party overlay is required.
Reservations and Mobile Order Still Control the Day
The Plaza Restaurant is the only table-service stop Disney flagged as reservations recommended. If that sandwich or cheesecake is the reason for a Magic Kingdom day, book the table first and treat the parlor as the flexible stop.
October 1 counters are almost all quick service. Open mobile order that morning for Epic Eats, Terra Treats, and Flame Tree Barbecue. Disney did not publish prices on September 24, so budget from the live app menu. While-supplies-last confectionery can vanish midday.
EPCOT is not a third park menu here. Disney points Disney Springs to a separate 2026 guide and lists EPCOT mainly for confectionery carts. Do not plan an EPCOT day around a Hollywood Studios funnel cake.
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Visit Magic Kingdom before October 1 | Buy the daytime list now. Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Cheshire Cafe, and Main Street Confectionery do not wait for October 1. |
| Want the Maleficent Funnel Cake or Ghost Cream Puff | Hold a Hollywood Studios park day on or after October 1. Epic Eats is at Echo Lake. |
| Want the Boneyard sundae or Candy Corn Pop | Hold an Animal Kingdom day October 1 to 31. Terra Treats and Flame Tree Barbecue are on Discovery Island. |
| Hold only a party ticket night | Use the separate party foodie guide for exclusives. Daytime items on this list still follow the regular-hours tags Disney printed. |
September 24 is the listing date. Disney published the park Halloween menus then. Magic Kingdom daytime items are already in the window through October 31.
October 1 is the second start date. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom add the new dated counters that day. Move a hopper or a second park ticket to that date if those items are the reason for the trip.
October 31 is the end date. Disney’s through-October-31 language is the close of the seasonal list. Treats marked while supplies last can end earlier.
Packaged Sweets Sell Across the Resort While Supplies Last
The closing section of the guide is resort-wide confectionery, not a fourth park menu. Disney lists Mickey and Minnie cereal treats, caramel apples, cupcakes, marshmallow pops, and Halloween popcorn mixes at locations that include Main Street Confectionery, Zuri’s Sweets Shop at Animal Kingdom, and Karamell-Kuche at EPCOT. Those items are available while supplies last. A packaged cookie is a backup if a dated October 1 sundae is sold out, not a substitute for checking the start date.
Snack carts at all four parks also appear on the novelty list. That is merch-adjacent food, not a reason to add a park. Confirm the live cart before walking across a park for a popcorn mix. The September 24 guide is the current official list through October 31; anything not on it, including the earlier Disney Springs and party-only menus, stays on those separate pages.
When do Disney World Halloween treats end in 2026?

Which Halloween treats are on sale at Magic Kingdom now?
Daytime Magic Kingdom items in the guide, including the Pumpkin Sundae at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and the Large Mickey Spiderweb Cookie at Main Street Confectionery, are listed for regular park hours already. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom dated items wait until October 1.
Do I need Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets for these treats?
No. Disney and WDW News Today both describe this list as daytime park food. Party nights only change some closing times. Party-exclusive dishes sit on a separate foodie guide.
