D23 Extends Panel Reservation Window Through July 26 for 2026 Fan Event

D23 just bought panel planners more time. The official reservation guide for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event extends the Reservation Selection Process through Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET.

That extension matters this weekend. Badge holders who still need to rank panels, talent signings, and show floor experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center have two more days before the random draw closes.

At a Glance
  • New deadline: Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET.
  • Event: D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event, August 14 to 16 in Anaheim.
  • What you rank: Select ACC panels, talent signings, and show floor experiences.
  • How it works: Random assignment, not first come, first served.
  • Results window: Confirmed reservations emailed August 7 through August 10.

What D23 changed on the reservation clock

According to the official D23 Panel Reservation Guide, the organizer is extending the Reservation Selection Process because of overwhelming demand. The new close is Sunday, July 26, at noon Pacific.

Laughing Place independently reported the same extension, matching the Sunday noon Pacific deadline and pointing readers back to the official D23 process page.

Some step by step lines lower on the D23 guide still show the original Friday, July 24 close. Treat the top extension notice as the current traveler deadline, then recheck the official page before you walk away from the form.

The process remains random. D23 says there is no priority based on when you submit, so waiting until Sunday is not a scoring penalty if you finish before the clock.

That randomness is the real planning relief. You do not need to camp a browser tab at the original Friday close if your ranked list is still incomplete.

Who can enter and what you can request

The Reservation RSP covers select panels, presentations, talent signings, and show floor experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center. It does not reserve Honda Center showcase seats.

Honda Center shows still need a separate ticket. Do not burn an RSP slot expecting that inventory to appear in the same form.

D23 Fan Pass Afternoon Only ticket holders cannot enter the RSP. Children under 18 cannot make the reservation themselves, but they can join an adult as one of that adult’s additional guests.

You get three categories: Stage Presentations, Talent Central, and Show Floor Experiences. Across those categories, you may make up to four ranked selections total.

Stage Presentations covers confirmed sessions at Premiere Stage, The Walt Disney Archives Stage, Backlot Stage, and Hyperion Stage. Talent Central covers confirmed talent photos and signings.

Show Floor Experiences covers talent signings, demonstrations, presentations, and giveaways in booths around the show floor. Mix categories if your trip is about more than one big stage panel.

For each selection, you can include up to five additional guests when you submit. D23 says extra guests cannot be added later, so set party size correctly the first time.

A valid adult event badge is required at check in for a confirmed reservation. If you pick up badges at will call, you can still enter the RSP with the D23 member login tied to those badges.

How to use the extra days without overthinking it

Open the official entry flow from the reservation guide and sign in with the D23 account that holds your badges. If you have a three day badge, switch the date at the top so you rank preferences for each day you will actually attend.

Rank only programs you would truly use. D23 notes that more selections can improve the odds of receiving at least one reservation, but a single time slot can hold only one assigned reservation per guest.

Use the extra calendar days to compare stage panels against talent photos and booth experiences. A dense Saturday stack can look great on paper and fail once walking time and badge lines are real.

Build a short list of must see programs and a longer list of acceptable substitutes. The form wants ranked preferences, not a fantasy schedule that ignores transfer time across the convention center.

If you travel with friends, align guest counts before anyone submits. A reservation for a party of one cannot magically expand when the group meets at the door.

If you hit technical trouble earlier, D23 says most issues are resolved and asks guests to try again. Persistent failures should go to D23 Member Services through support.d23.com.

What happens after you submit

You should get an email confirming the preferences you entered. You may return and modify those preferences any time before the deadline closes.

Assignments go out by email starting August 7 through August 10 if you receive a confirmed selection. No assignment is not the end of the plan.

D23 says standby queues will be available for most Anaheim Convention Center panels and experiences. Keep two standby friendly options in your notes before you arrive.

Arrive by the stated reservation time or risk losing the spot to standby. All reservations can change or cancel without notice, so keep a backup list even after a confirmation lands.

For the rest of an Anaheim trip around the convention dates, Deep Arrival’s things to do in Anaheim guide helps fill free blocks between ACC days.

If you are also planning a Disneyland Resort park day around the same trip, check the live Disneyland park hours page before you stack a late convention night with an early rope drop.

How this changes an Anaheim weekend plan

The extension is small on the calendar and large on decision quality. Two more days is enough to compare the published stage list, talent windows, and floor demos without guessing under a same day cutoff.

It is not a second ticket sale. If you do not already hold an eligible badge, the RSP cannot create entry for you.

It is also not a Honda Center fix. Showcase nights remain a separate purchase and a separate crowd pattern from the convention center floor.

Think of the RSP as a limited priority pass for named ACC moments. Standby still exists, but confirmed reservations reduce the amount of day of improvisation you need when the building is full.

Travelers combining D23 with a Disneyland Resort stay should protect walking and transfer buffers. A confirmed panel that starts soon after a park exit only works if bag check, tram, and convention security all cooperate.

Hotel location still matters more than the extension itself. Being close to the Anaheim Convention Center makes standby recovery realistic when a first choice assignment does not land.

Decision Matrix
If you… What to do
Already hold an eligible ACC badge Enter or revise RSP ranks before Sunday noon Pacific on July 26.
Hold only an Afternoon Only Fan Pass Skip RSP. Plan standby or non reserved floor time instead.
Travel with kids under 18 Have an adult submit and count each child as an additional guest now.
Miss every preferred assignment Use ACC standby lines and keep a short walkable backup list.
Also hold Honda Center showcase tickets Do not expect RSP coverage there. Treat those shows as separate inventory.
Planning Impact
  • This weekend: Finish ranks before Sunday, July 26, at 12 pm PT.
  • Party size: Lock guest counts on every selection. Later adds are not allowed.
  • After July 26: Wait for August 7 to 10 assignment emails, then set alarms for check in times.
  • Backup plan: Identify two standby friendly panels and one non reserved floor stop.
  • Anaheim buffer: Leave walking and bag check time between ACC blocks and any park night.

The extension does not guarantee a hot panel. It does give badge holders a cleaner chance to submit a thoughtful ranked list before the random draw freezes.
