Condor ChatGPT App Compares Fares, but You Book on Condor

Condor has put a flight search tool inside ChatGPT: since September 30, travelers can type a request that starts with the word “Condor” and get destinations, fares and flight options without opening the airline’s website. The German carrier says it is the first airline in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to offer its own ChatGPT app.

The app works on the free version of ChatGPT and anywhere in the world, but it only searches. Condor says the booking itself continues on its website, so the chat is a shortcut to a shortlist rather than a checkout. How to Start the Condor App in ChatGPT

According to Condor’s newsroom, a request that begins with “Condor” makes ChatGPT call the app automatically. The first time, ChatGPT asks you to confirm the connection once.

You can also skip the prompt and connect the app first. Search for “Condor” in ChatGPT’s directory of apps, select it and approve the link. German travel site Reisetopia describes the same two routes.

Open Ideas and Specific Flight Searches

Condor describes two modes. One handles open ideas, such as where to fly in March if the weather should be warm. The other handles a specific search with named airports, dates and travelers.

The app also lets you compare prices across travel periods and destinations, and it shows Condor’s route network on an interactive map. For each connection it lists flight data, fares and travel classes drawn from Condor’s own data.

Example Requests Worth Copying

Condor’s own examples include “Condor, show me flights in November from Frankfurt to Los Cabos for two adults” and “Condor, where can I fly in March if it should be warm?” Trade magazine fvw printed a third, asking for the cheapest connections between Hamburg and Mallorca. These quotes are translated from German.

The pattern is easy to reuse. Lead with the word Condor, then give the month, the departure airport and the number of travelers, or describe the weather you want when the destination is still open.

Booking Stays on the Condor Website

Everything the app shows comes from Condor, so it will not compare other airlines. Use it to narrow dates and destinations, then check the same flight on the airline’s site before you commit, because that is where the final price and payment appear.

Condor’s release does not say how often the fares in the chat refresh, and it does not promise the lowest price. Treat the figures as a starting point, especially for dates close to departure.

Condor Calls the App a Digital Milestone

Alexander Mai, Condor’s director of e-commerce, called the app an important milestone in the airline’s digital offering and part of a targeted use of AI. He said travelers can phrase wishes openly, even before a destination is fixed.

That matters most for leisure travelers with flexible plans, which fits a holiday focused airline. Anyone who already knows the exact flight will likely still find the website faster.
