Celebrity’s 2028 booking dates are not one big release
Celebrity published the dates in its official 2028 and 2029 deployment announcement on August 10, 2026. The release says the program reaches all seven continents and includes new ports, longer regional seasons, and several firsts for individual ships.
The phrase “on sale now” applies only to summer 2028 Japan. Europe, Bermuda, Canada and New England are scheduled for August 25. Alaska, Hawaii, and South America follow on September 1. Australia and the winter 2028 to 2029 Asia season are scheduled for September 29.
A community copy of the Celebrity announcement reproduces the same calendar, but the operator’s release remains the authority. The press release does not promise a launch price.
The Caribbean and 2029 Galapagos are a separate wait. Celebrity says those programs are coming soon but gives no release date in this announcement. Do not treat September 29 as a catchall deadline for those two regions.

Europe gets the widest ship and itinerary mix
Europe is the headline program. Celebrity says four Edge Series ships will sail there: Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Apex. That is the line’s largest Edge Series presence in Europe to date.
Celebrity Beyond returns to Europe for the first time since 2023. It will sail from Southampton on trips ranging from seven to 14 nights. Some 14 night routes focus on Iceland and Norway. The ship is also expected to arrive after a November 2026 renewal that adds spaces including Bora, Celebrity Pool Club, Orange Peel Bar and Grille, and Tacos del Sol.
Celebrity Apex is scheduled for 12 night Scandinavia trips and new British Isles routes. The line says those itineraries include its first visit to Galway, Ireland. Celebrity Constellation returns to Bari, Italy, for the first time since 2014, while Celebrity Infinity stays in Europe year round and resumes Egypt sailings with overnight visits in Alexandria.
Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Eclipse round out the Mediterranean program with trips of seven to 11 nights. Travelers should use August 25 to verify the actual inventory because the release does not list every departure, fare, cabin, or port time.
Alaska adds a first season for Celebrity Equinox
Celebrity plans three ships in Alaska in 2028. Celebrity Edge returns for a fifth season, Celebrity Equinox begins its first Alaska season, and Celebrity Millennium sails roundtrip from Vancouver.
Equinox is scheduled for seven night open jaw voyages. They run between Vancouver and Seward. Open jaw means the cruise begins in one port and ends in another, so travelers need different arrival and departure planning. Celebrity also says Equinox guests can extend the trip with a guided cruise tour that reaches places such as Anchorage, Talkeetna, and Denali.
Celebrity Millennium’s roundtrip Vancouver format avoids the split port problem. The September 1 release is when travelers can test that simpler flight plan against Equinox dates and prices.
Hawaii opens on the same day. Celebrity says Equinox will offer roundtrip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles, a format that removes the need to buy a separate flight between California and the islands. The release does not specify a lowest fare or guarantee that every cabin category will be available at launch.
Japan is open now, with more Asia coming later
Japan is the only part of this announcement already on sale. Celebrity Solstice is scheduled for a full April through October 2028 season after its own renewal, and Celebrity calls it the first full Japan season for a Solstice Series ship.
Celebrity Millennium will also sail in Japan during spring and fall. Across the two ships, the line says there will be 17 visits to Okinawa. That is enough variety to compare season, ship, and port mix rather than buying the first itinerary that appears.
The wider winter Asia season does not open until September 29. Celebrity lists overnight visits connected with Bangkok, Phuket, Benoa, Hanoi, Hong Kong, and Penang. One especially specific itinerary detail is a Celebrity Millennium overnight in Hong Kong for New Year’s Eve 2028 to 2029.
Keep the two Asia windows separate. Summer Japan is available now, while winter Asia waits until September 29. Air schedules may open later than the cruise, making flexible planning useful.
South America, Australia, Bermuda, and New England fill out the map
Celebrity Equinox is also assigned to South America on trips of 12 to 16 nights. The line describes routes across five countries, visits connected with Antarctica, and overnight calls in Valparaiso and Buenos Aires. A 16 night holiday sailing is expected to include Antarctica.
That language does not mean every trip lands passengers on the Antarctic continent. Read the exact itinerary on September 1 because scenic cruising and an expedition landing are different products.
Australia and New Zealand receive 23 sailings from Sydney and Auckland on Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice. Trips range from four to 14 nights and open on September 29. Add long haul flights and hotel nights before comparing total cost.
Closer to the United States, Celebrity Summit is scheduled to begin seven night Bermuda cruises from Cape Liberty in May 2028. Those sailings include two Bermuda overnights.
