What the 50 dollar duo actually buys
Cedar Point labels the tile Celebrate America Bring-A-Friend Duo Offer. The price is two friends for 50 dollars, plus applicable taxes and fees.
That is 25 dollars a person before tax if you use both tickets. It is not 50 dollars each.
The page says the tickets are valid for two friends’ park admission on any one operating day through Sept. 7, 2026. You pick one remaining open day.
You do not get a floating pair you can split across two Saturdays. Finish the checkout and keep the confirmation.
The same tile says online only and requires a valid Season Passholder to accompany the friends. A screenshot of the marketing card is not a ticket.
The special offers page repeats the same 50 dollar duo. If one tile disappears and the other remains, trust the page that still completes a purchase.
This is not a waterpark bundle unless the checkout says so. The separate from-25-dollar Bring-A-Friend path already says it is not valid for Cedar Point Shores.
Treat the 50 dollar duo as amusement-park admission unless the cart names Shores.
Who can use it, and who cannot
The buyer needs a current Cedar Point Season Pass. The friends need the two discounted tickets, and the passholder has to accompany them on the selected day.
You cannot send two friends in alone with a forwarded barcode.
Cedar Point’s Perks and Play page lists a 2 for 50 dollar Bring-A-Friend ticket among August rewards. Those perks are non-transferable and may be redeemed only at the home park on the pass.
A Kings Island or other Six Flags pass is not a Cedar Point ticket.
Perks and Play also says rewards load for passholders who hold an active pass on the first day of the month. Someone who bought a pass after August 1 may not see every August perk in the app.
The ticket pages still sell the 50 dollar duo as a dated product. Use the checkout, not the app tile, as proof.
September’s published perk list does not name the 50 dollar duo. That does not erase the September 7 date on the ticket pages.
Do not wait for a September app badge. If the official cart still sells the pair, buy there.
If nobody in the group holds a Cedar Point Season Pass, this offer is closed. Regular one-day tickets still start at 52 dollars online, with a 105 dollar gate price, and they are not valid for Shores.
The 25 dollar friend tickets and the 29 dollar resort ticket
Cedar Point is selling three cheap-looking tickets that are not the same product. Mixing them is how people overpay or arrive with the wrong barcode.
The second passholder path is ordinary Bring-A-Friend tickets starting at 25 dollars, against a 90 dollar gate price. Those tickets must be accompanied by a valid Season Passholder, are valid on the date selected, cap at six discounted tickets, and are not valid for Cedar Point Shores.
Use that path if you have three to six friends, not two.
The third path is the resort-guest ticket. Official copy now sells a 29 dollar one-day Cedar Point ticket for overnight stays through September 13, only inside an Overnight Admission Package, with early entry.

If you are sleeping at Hotel Breakers or another Cedar Point Resort, price the 29 dollar package first. If you already hold a Season Pass and your friends are not staying on property, the 50 dollar duo is the cleaner buy for exactly two guests.
CrowdLevels recorded the July Perks and Play window as Celebrate America Bring-A-Friend tickets at 17.76 dollars, plus a Prestige free friend ticket. That July price is not the current checkout.
The live official pages have moved the Celebrate America pair to 50 dollars for two friends through September 7.
Which days still make sense before September 7
The offer does not create extra park days. It only discounts two friends on a day Cedar Point is already open.

Boardwalk Nights presented by Blue Bunny still runs through August 16, 2026. If you want the boardwalk shows, buy for a remaining night through August 16.
Happy Friar’s Fresh-Cut Fries Fest is September 11 to 13. HalloWeekends presented by SNICKERS runs September 17 to November 1.
Both sit after the September 7 cutoff. The 50 dollar duo cannot buy those event days.
Labor Day, September 7, is the last date named on the ticket tile. Weekend crowds around that holiday are usually heavier than a midweek August visit.
If your friends can come on a remaining August weekday, that is often the better use of two discounted tickets.
Cedar Point Shores closed early today, August 12, because of weather. That is a same-day waterpark note, not a reason to buy or skip the 50 dollar duo.
The friend tickets are park admission. Recheck Shores hours separately if anyone in the group wants the waterpark.
How to buy without mixing products
Open the official daily tickets or special offers page and choose the Celebrate America Bring-A-Friend Duo. Do not grab the generic from-25-dollar friend tickets or the 29 dollar resort package by habit.
Complete the order while logged in under the Season Pass account that will walk through the gate. Write down the selected operating day before you pay.
The duo is one day, not a season of guest visits. If a friend later cannot come, do not assume Cedar Point will move the date. The public tiles do not promise a change.
Compare the live total against two regular online tickets. If regular tickets have dropped near 25 dollars each on that date, the duo is not a bargain.
Bring the passholder’s Season Pass and the two friend tickets together. Gate staff can reject a friend who arrives without the named passholder.

Open the official duo tile and write the 50 dollar pre-tax total, the selected date, and whether Shores is named. Then open two regular tickets for the same date. Buy the duo only if it is cheaper and the date is on or before September 7.
If the checkout wants a different product name, walk away. Cedar Point rotates Perks and Play tiles, and the legal offer is the cart, not the August graphic.
