Alabama Adventure has posted an official FearFest page for its first after-dark Halloween event, with haunted mazes, walkthrough trails, roaming characters, and select rides at night. The Bessemer park’s marketing manager, Alex Ramsey, told Amusement Today the event runs from October 3 through November 1, 2026, on weekends, and the park’s own FearFest ticket page now spells out what a night ticket actually buys.
The traveler decision is which ticket to buy, whether a season pass covers the mazes, and how to get to Bessemer for a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night. Start with Deep Arrival’s theme park guides, then match your pass year to the maze rules before you drive.
- Nights: October 3 through November 1, 2026, on weekends, per Amusement Today quoting the park.
- Hours listed locally: Fridays and Saturdays 6 to 10 p.m., Sundays 6 to 9 p.m., according to Bham Now, which links to the official FearFest page.
- Included in general admission: Event entry, select rides, live entertainment, roaming characters, Pathway of Fun, The Summoning Grounds, and two haunted-maze walkthroughs.
- Extra maze pass: $20 for two more walkthroughs for general-admission guests; $15 for 2026 season passholders, sold at the park only.
- Parking: $10 per vehicle for night guests unless you hold a valid 2026 or 2027 season pass; parking is not in the general-admission ticket.
FearFest Dates and Night Hours
Amusement Today, writing from Bessemer on September 25, 2026, said FearFest begins October 3 and runs through November 1, with the event taking place on weekends throughout October. That is the dated window a traveler can plan against until the park publishes a night-by-night calendar in text. The official page currently leads with “this October” and a calendar graphic, and it does not repeat those start and end dates in the body copy.
Bham Now’s Birmingham Halloween roundup, updated September 25 and linked to the same FearFest URL, lists Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m. Treat those hours as the local listing until the park writes them on the ticket page. If you are flying into Birmingham, Deep Arrival already covered Southwest’s Phoenix to Birmingham fall nonstops from October 1, which is the week FearFest starts.
Ramsey told Amusement Today the park is transforming for Halloween and offering haunted attractions, rides, roaming characters, special food, and a full evening of entertainment. That quote is the operator’s own description of the night, not a third-party guess about what might run.
What General Admission Includes
The official FearFest page is specific. General admission includes entry to the event, select amusement rides, live entertainment, roaming characters, Pathway of Fun, The Summoning Grounds, and two walkthroughs through the full haunted mazes. You can use those two walkthroughs as one visit to Code Blue and one to Skull Manor, or both on the same maze.
If you want to go back into the mazes after those two walks, the park sells an additional two-walkthrough Maze Pass for $20 at the park or online. Bham Now lists a FearFest one-day ticket at $29.99. That dollar figure is not in the park’s published ticket copy, so treat $29.99 as a local listing and confirm the live price on the FearFest page or the park’s ticket store before you pay.
Parking is a separate charge at night. The FearFest page says parking is free for valid 2026 and 2027 season passholders. All other guests pay $10 per vehicle. Parking is not included with a general-admission ticket. The park also says parking is available online at a discounted rate. Bham Now’s $5 online figure matches that discount language; the $10 at-event figure matches the official page.
Season Pass Rules Split by Year
A 2026 season pass is not a golden ticket for the mazes. FearFest admission is included, covering select rides, live entertainment, roaming characters, Pathway of Fun, and The Summoning Grounds. Access to Code Blue and Skull Manor is not included. Those passholders may buy a two-walkthrough Maze Pass for $15 at the park only.
A valid 2027 season pass is the better night deal on paper. FearFest admission is included, and each passholder also receives one complimentary FearFest Maze Pass during FearFest 2026. That complimentary pass includes two walkthroughs, used once at each maze or twice at the same maze. The park says the complimentary maze pass is added automatically to the 2027 season pass and can be redeemed one time at the entrance of the haunted walkthrough attractions. After that, extra two-walkthrough maze passes are $15.
If you already hold 2026 and are deciding whether to buy 2027 now, the maze math is the point: 2026 gets you in the gates at night but not into Code Blue or Skull Manor without a $15 park-only add-on. 2027 gets you one maze pass in the package.
The Two Mazes and Two Trails
Code Blue is the medical-facility maze. The park says Dr. Vane’s experiments have gone wrong, and guests enter an abandoned medical facility. Amusement Today described the same house as a biohazard story inside a place that used to heal people. Skull Manor is the mansion maze, with a butler, a Bloody Bride, and restless residents, according to the official page.
Pathway of Fun is a haunted walkthrough the park describes as flashing lights, eerie laughter, and clowns. The Summoning Grounds is the cemetery walkthrough tied to the Papa Voodoo story the park uses as the event’s frame. General admission includes both walkthroughs. The mazes are the part that burns the two included walks, or the maze pass.
The park warns that FearFest is an intense nighttime Halloween event and may not be suitable for younger guests, with parental discretion advised. That is the operator’s own age warning. If you are in Birmingham for civil-rights sites during the day, Deep Arrival’s Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument guide is the daytime plan; FearFest is a separate night ticket in Bessemer, not a park-hopper add-on from Orlando.
Getting to Bessemer for a Night Ticket
Alabama Adventure sits in Bessemer, southwest of downtown Birmingham. Night hours mean a $10 parking charge unless you hold a season pass. Buy parking online if you want the discounted rate. The park’s daytime guest-info page still advertises free parking for regular park days; do not assume that perk carries into FearFest.
Amusement Today also said FearFest includes special Halloween-themed food and drinks, and that amusement park rides will operate during the event so guests can ride after dark. The official ticket page says “select amusement rides.” Plan for a subset of the daytime lineup, not a full park at night. If a ride you care about is the point of the ticket, check the live ride list at the gate rather than assuming Rampage is running.
Amusement Today also said the park is adding a family-friendly Adventure Fall Festival. The FearFest page does not yet publish those daytime dates in text. If you need a non-scare October visit, wait for the park to post those hours.
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Hold no season pass and want both mazes | Buy FearFest general admission for two maze walkthroughs, then add a $20 Maze Pass only if you will go back in. |
| Hold a 2026 season pass | Use the pass for night admission, then buy the $15 maze pass at the park if you want Code Blue or Skull Manor. |
| Hold or will buy a 2027 season pass | Night admission is included, plus one complimentary two-walkthrough maze pass, then $15 for extras. |
| Are bringing young children | Read the park’s intensity warning first. FearFest is a night event, not the family Fall Festival. |
October 3, 2026, is the first listed FearFest night. Amusement Today, quoting the park, sets the run through November 1 on weekends. Confirm the exact night on the official calendar graphic before you book a hotel.
The maze pass is the hidden cost. General admission includes two walkthroughs. 2026 season passholders get in the gates but not the mazes. 2027 passholders get one maze pass in the bundle.
$10 parking is not in the ticket. Season passholders park free. Everyone else pays, with a cheaper rate if bought online.
