Getting around
How a city district changes movement
Walking, ride hailing, buses, and Metro Line 1 serve different parts of the city. Verify current station and airport transport details before travel.
If you stay in District 1
District 1 minimizes sightseeing friction for a short trip. The tradeoff is activity and higher visitor density, so choose an exact street that fits the desired evening pace.
If you stay in District 3
District 3 is a strong alternative to District 1 when calm matters more than being in the middle of every attraction. It remains close enough for a mixed city plan.
If you stay in District 4
District 4 can work well when a neighborhood feel matters but central sights remain important. Check the precise location because bridge crossings shape each outing.
If you stay in Binh Thanh
Binh Thanh is a useful modern base when the east side and Metro Line 1 matter. It trades old center intimacy for space and newer development.
If you stay in Thao Dien
Thao Dien makes sense for an intentional longer stay, not as the default for a first weekend. Allow time for cross river movement to District 1 sights.
If you stay in Phu Nhuan
Phu Nhuan lowers airport transfer friction without leaving the city entirely. It is best for a short logistical stay rather than a sightseeing centered first visit.
