Where to Stay in Denver
Union Station and LoDo is the strongest first choice for airport rail, downtown access, and an easy car light stay. Central Downtown works for conventions, RiNo for nightlife and creative energy, Capitol Hill for museums and neighborhood character, Cherry Creek for polished shopping, and Highland for restaurants with skyline views across the river.

Getting around
How the Denver neighborhood changes the stay
Airport rail is most useful near Union Station. Elsewhere, compare the exact transit stop and daily trip pattern before deciding to skip a car.
If you stay in Union Station and LoDo
The airport rail advantage is real only when the lodging is practical to Union Station. Most central sights are walkable, and transit can cover many city days without a rental car.
If you stay in Central Downtown
Choose the exact block around the convention or venue that owns the trip. Union Station is still the stronger anchor for airport rail and broader evening atmosphere.
If you stay in RiNo and Five Points
Rail and short rides connect RiNo to the core, but the district covers more ground than one compact center. Compare the exact address with the venues and stations you will actually use.
If you stay in Capitol Hill and Golden Triangle
This area is best when museums, Civic Center, and neighborhood cafes own the day. The airport trip needs a connection to Union Station, so include that transfer in arrival planning.
If you stay in Cherry Creek
Most daily needs can stay close, but downtown and airport rail require a trip. Choose Cherry Creek because the district is the destination, not as a neutral compromise.
If you stay in Highland and LoHi
Pedestrian bridges make parts of LoDo reachable, but hills and exact location matter. Stay near the bridge corridor if downtown walking is part of the reason for choosing Highland.
