Age groups and youth spaces
Disney Cruise Line has built a reputation around its supervised kids clubs, and the system on Disney Adventure follows the same structure used across the fleet: separate spaces for infants, children, tweens and teens, each with its own environment and programming.
- “it’s a small world” nursery, for infants and toddlers
- Disney’s Oceaneer Club, ages 3 to 10
- Edge, ages 11 to 14
- Vibe, ages 14 to 17
The clubs are designed as social environments where kids meet other travellers and take part in games, creative activities and themed experiences. Families travelling with infants or toddlers have access to the nursery, a dedicated childcare space for children too young for the main clubs.
The age bands matter more here than on a longer cruise. On a 3 or 4 night sailing there is no slow ramp up. Whichever room your child belongs to is the room that will define their week, so it is worth walking them in on day one rather than day two.
Inside Disney’s Oceaneer Club
The Oceaneer Club is not one room. It splits into themed spaces, and that division is what keeps a wide age band from collapsing into a single noisy hall.
Fairytale Hall
Fairytale Hall carries the Disney Princess side of the Oceaneer Club, which ties it directly to the Town Square district and the storytelling that runs from Tangled and Frozen through to Cinderella and Tiana.
It is the room that will matter most to children who booked this holiday for characters rather than coasters, and it gives them somewhere that is theirs rather than a queue.
Marvel WEB Workshop
The Marvel WEB Workshop is the action end of the Oceaneer Club and the counterweight to Fairytale Hall. It keeps the Marvel thread of the ship running for children too young for Marvel Landing’s attractions.
That is the quiet logic of the whole club. A seven year old who cannot ride Ironcycle Test Run still gets a Marvel room of their own.
Walt Disney Imagineering Lab
The Walt Disney Imagineering Lab is the creative, build it yourself space in the club, and it is the one that tends to hold older children in the 3 to 10 band who have outgrown pure play.
The club includes these spaces plus Andy’s Toybox, its Toy Story play area.
Andy’s Toy Box
Andy’s Toy Box is a Toy Story play area inside Disney’s Oceaneer Club. Its Slinky Dog slide and oversized toys are part of the supervised club, not an extension of the Toy Story Place pool deck.
Children must meet the club’s age and toilet-training requirements during supervised programming and wear dry clothes and shoes.
Edge and Vibe
Disney puts Edge and Vibe on San Fransokyo Street, the Big Hero 6 inspired district, alongside Baymax Cinemas. That grouping matters more than it first appears.
Edge
Edge is the tween space, for ages 11 to 14, and it sits on the same street as the cinema rather than off a corridor somewhere.
Putting it in a district gives older kids somewhere that feels like a destination they chose, which is the entire battle at this age. It also gives parents a predictable place to find them.
Vibe
Vibe is the teen space, for ages 14 to 17, and it completes the San Fransokyo grouping with Edge and Baymax Cinemas.
A teen is not going to be marched to a club. They will go to a street that has a cinema, a hangout and some independence attached to it. That is why the location does more work here than the room itself.
Planning around the clubs
The kids clubs are the hinge the rest of the ship swings on. Disney Adventure is built so families overlap in the districts and then separate naturally, and the clubs are the mechanism that lets the separating happen. Without them the adult layer at Discovery Reef and Spellbound does not function.
Pre-register when available, or register on board, and visit the rooms during an Open House early in the sailing. By the time you want an adult dinner at Palo Trattoria, the club needs to already be somewhere your child wants to go rather than somewhere they are being left.
The main clubs are included in your fare; nursery care costs extra. Supervised Oceaneer Club programming requires children to be ages 3 to 10 and fully toilet-trained. During designated Open House sessions, guests of all ages may visit. Disney Oceaneer Bands, dry clothes and shoes are required for club programming on Adventure.

Disney Adventure kids club questions
What kids clubs are on Disney Adventure?
The system follows the fleet structure: the “it’s a small world” nursery for infants and toddlers, Disney’s Oceaneer Club for ages 3 to 10, Edge for ages 11 to 14 and Vibe for ages 14 to 17.
What is inside the Oceaneer Club?
It includes Fairytale Hall, Marvel WEB Workshop, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab and Andy’s Toy Box, a Toy Story play area.
Where are Edge and Vibe?
Both sit on San Fransokyo Street, the Big Hero 6 inspired district, alongside Baymax Cinemas. Grouping them on one street makes the tween and teen spaces feel like a destination rather than a room off a corridor.
Do the kids clubs cost extra?
The main clubs are included in your fare. The nursery generally carries a fee across the fleet, so check the current terms for your sailing.
What age is the Oceaneer Club for?
Supervised Oceaneer Club programming is for ages 3 to 10 who are fully toilet-trained. The Adventure nursery serves children from 6 months to 3 years for an additional fee. Open House sessions have different access rules.
When should we register?
Pre-register when available or register on board. Visit during an Open House early in the sailing and confirm the required Disney Oceaneer Band, hours and entry requirements with youth staff.
