Three calls that matter

Disney is the exception

Beer is banned at embarkation on nearly every line. Disney lets age-eligible guests bring up to 6 beers (12 oz or less) instead of the one-bottle wine allowance, not both.

Hand-carry, Disney only

On Disney, hand-carry sealed cans at the start of the voyage. On every other major line, leave beer at home; it will be confiscated.

Wine or beer, not both

Disney’s allowance is either one bottle of wine or six beers, not both. On other lines, buy beer onboard or add a beverage package.

Sailing tip: if you sail Disney and prefer beer, choose the six-pack instead of the wine bottle before you pack; you cannot bring both. More in our cruise guides.
