Can You Bring Comic Books on a Plane?
Yes. Comic books and graphic novels are allowed in any quantity, carry-on or checked. Like all books they are only limited by weight, and a valuable collection is safest carried on.

The official word
Straight from TSA
“Books and other printed materials are allowed in carry-on and checked bags. Officers may need to look through a large stack during screening.”

Before the checkpoint
Three calls that matter
No. Comics are never restricted. A thick stack may be fanned through at the checkpoint to clear the X-ray image.
Either bag. Carry graded or rare issues on so they are not bent or lost in the hold.
For a convention haul, a rigid folder or box in your carry-on keeps corners sharp and covers flat.
