Can You Bring Baby Formula on a Plane?
Yes. Baby formula is a medically necessary liquid—it is allowed in carry-on in quantities greater than 3.4oz, with or without a child traveling. Just declare it at the checkpoint, and powder formula has no limit at all.

Three calls that matter
No. Formula is exempt from the 3-1-1 limit. Tell the officer you have it, and it is screened separately.
Carry-on, within reach. Pack more than you think you need in case of delays, plus ice packs to keep it cool.
You can bring formula and the water to mix it even if your baby is not with you, such as when flying to meet them.
