Can You Bring a Water Bottle on a Plane?
Yes. Any bottle passes the checkpoint once it is empty: metal, glass, or plastic, any size. Full bottles do not. Empty it before the line, fill it at the gate.

Before the checkpoint
Three calls that matter
Refill stations sit past security in every major US airport. The bottle only needs to be empty for ten minutes.
Fully frozen water is a solid and passes screening. If it melts into slush in line, liquid rules apply.
Forgot to empty it? Finish it before the bin. A full bottle will not make it through.
